This is really good to be a series in my opinion...their dynamic is great...it will be good to see akira teasing kobayashi and her going tsun tsun denying that she likes her....but sadly its a oneshot....
I love the last page -- implying that Akira shows Miku her high school photo at some point, sending us off with the assurance they do indeed get closer, without telling us outright.
EDIT: looks like this is actually the first part of a two-shot; still like the last page but not complaining we're getting more!
No.. you are right.. a prequel is something that is from a earlier part of the time line that is released or sequenced after the original story. So if you read it first how can it be a prequel? it's just part one at that point..

Other than that meaning, people also use the word prequel simply as the counterpart of sequel (B is sequel of A, so A is prequel of B). If you look up any second season of a show on MAL, its first season will be listed as prequel.
I agree with you that tagging this as 'first part' or 'part one' is better though.

I'm kinda tired of this trope. The straight woman looking for a hot guy and falling the new hot guy with an androgynous face in her workplace or whatever. But unfortunately for her the hot guy was a lesbian in disguise. And with this one encounter, one mistake she's questioning her sexuality, her life style 'how can I fall for a woman/lesbian who's dress and act like a guy ?' 'I' m no more straight'... Really!
