Usually acoustic guitar strings are a heavier gauge than electric and are harder to play, the material doesn’t really come into it.. and unlike bass strings there isn’t very much flatwound (smooth like double bass strings) vs roundwound ( textured like guitar strings) debate with guitarists as guitarist that play flats are rare… that said when I first started playing bass I got blisters.. and I’ve had a few times where I have even many years later… usually if I ended up playing a 5+ hour show…

Well that got dumb…..er… than normal….

I’m gonna say meh on that.. there are tons of instances where people, even young people get interested in something from a begone era… Like jazz or classical or ska… plus for the last 5-10 year’s you’d see teens in the us wearing “vintage” themed tshirts spattered with Beatles, Led Zeppelin and AC/DC logos… also the ironic part of this in connection to grunge retro is grunge and a lot of the music of the first half of the 90s was filled with retro throwbacks.. grunge is just punk mixed with 70s heavy rock like Black Sabbath, Blue cheer and Death, then when grunge died you had a swing fad followed by a 2nd ska revival and then you had the whole Brit pop thing which was again rooted in 60s and 70s stuff.. also.. aerosmith was huge at that time…. My guess because of the retro love mixed in the current bands of that time like the black crows and G&R (who sound like aerosmith most of the time anyway).. things cycle around over and over again..

I liked this chapter for the story, BUT I gotta throw the B/S flag for suggesting that listening to G&R repeatedly will make you happy. If I had to listen to Sweet Child of Mine as much as when it originally came out, I think I might be compelled to commit violence. It's not a bad song, but got WAY overplayed.

On the radio it still does.. I worked a place where they played the big rock station all the time and if you heard sweet child, teen spirit, enter sandman and bullet with butterfly wings you knew it was most definitely Tuesday..

That's just plain wasteful.. don't you know there are staving children in.... most countries...

I agree with most of what’s in last few posts… really to me so far the mentions are all stuff that is in the 25-30 years ago era.. it’s radio rock.. my mind would almost but not be blown if stuff like Boris, melt banana, the boredoms or even guitar wolf showed up.. but.. I doubt it..,

No.. you are right.. a prequel is something that is from a earlier part of the time line that is released or sequenced after the original story. So if you read it first how can it be a prequel? it's just part one at that point..

No one does not. You buy a potted tree and once the season is over you take it outside to live in your yard with all the other trees.

And we finally reach the pinnacle of manga's final form where the characters interact with a disembodied sailor uniform..

And thankfully a overly humdrum, boring, run of the mill type manga is saved by lively and disgruntled forum wangling? :P

p.s Space cadet is 100% of american origin and usage. ive only ever seen it used in american media and never in real life - at least in the UK. There are a few other american terms used too. They stand out more to none americans.

Actually.. these aren't just 'mericanisms but ones that ONLY show up in old media or something to emulate the past [golden era of the idyllic 'merka.. think 1950s] or it's regional? like the east coast? So even to someone from the Us west coast "space cadet" and "cup of joe" stick out as something that was meant to portray a specific color.. not sure what it is though other than setting it back 50+ years...

I like the art work, but I'm finding this tedious as it unfolds..

I don't really get the appeal of seeing someone horrible doing good on everything, without facing the consequences of their wrongdoings...

Wellll that's kind'a how the real world is... scum rises to the top... and stuff... ;)
