Welp, lets add another one to my '' this should be more than a one shot'' list XP That was super cute and a nice twist on a few classic character tropes.

As someone with bad eyesight, I relate to this very much

Damn, I have -11 vision in both eyes, and I would say she doesn't really get to choose not to wear glasses/contacts, especially considering she couldn't find a coin on the ground. Chiaki needs to become her gf and then take her to the optician's asap.

Had the plot figured out on page 3. But it was still cute. They have similar prescriptions, they're destined to be together.

I was just thinking that, I can’t remember ever seeing a “she gets cuter with glasses” type story

I like how the main character seems like an anxious shy kinda character at the start and then just straight up doesn't waste any time proposing immediately after realizing "oh damn she cute and I gay"

Also I realize this is being pretentious but uh pushes her glasses up on her bridge and snorts it sure is lucky that her prescription matches Ichiki's perfectly, snort snort, if I gave my glasses to anyone they'd walk into a wall cause I have a weird prescription. Terrible contradiction, immersion ruined, 0/10

If they're both nearsighted, using the glasses of someone who's less nearsighted than you should still help somewhat, right?

I figured out the "twist" as soon as I saw Ichiki, because the artist has managed to capture the way actual short-sighted folks squint without their glasses. I also liked the fact that the protag went from "she's cute" to "I love her" when Ichiki showed a particular vulnerability to her. The desire to protecc always makes one fall for the crush even harder...

Yes, that's why people can still wear the same glasses long after their eyes have diverged from their original prescription. It's not ideal, but it's still way better than going without them at all.

I want more , i want 3 anime season and a movie of this.

ahh the premise for this oneshot is kind of really creative!! too bad a oneshot is all it’ll be … this would work really well as a nice series with At Least 15 chapters!!
