is a totally legitimate question. With that most recent chapter and the similar content, I think we've got an Author Appeal sort of situation going here. It feels like it was written primarily because this kind of thing (dominant underage girl sadist and adult woman masochist) is the author's fetish, and while there is a relationship thing going on and each chapter nudges its development a bit, there's a pretty heavy emphasis on the kinky action. I wouldn't say the plot is a throwaway to the degree of a porn plot, but it's definitely not the same kind of story as, say, "Are Your Feelings Connected by Yuri SM," which explores a relationship and the attitudes of its characters through kink--it doesn't really get into the characters' internality or present the situations with much versimilitude, with the exception of maybe the first chapter, and I would say the SM scenes are presented more as examples of a variety of different kinds of play to revel in the dynamic and show some "hot not-quite-sex" than anything else. So I can see where the, "are they gonna fuck" comes from--it feels like the story is in this weird limbo space where it doesn't allow itself to just be porn and shoot for the most satisfying scenes possible, while on the other hand the plot element of it doesn't have enough meat to hold on to for that to be satisfying in and of itself and the scenes are just not leaning into their emotions. It's sort of frustrating, actually, because a lot of the kinky stuff is pretty interesting and very detailed, and the character expressions showing sadism and masochism are pretty incredible, but the scenes themself stick to pretty much the same emotional beats and don't feel like they cross much into new territory. It's a little like music that's just mezzo-forte or forte the whole time, and has several individually good themes that don't develop or interact much.
For example, this page feels like it should be the moment where shit goes down--Kanade fully opens her heart and body to embrace Yuzuki's affection, and turns into a messy ball of subbiness and we see new heights of eroticism or a new dimension to their relationship take shape or their emotions become connected as they realize what their relationship has become... but we get this, and we get the same kind of thing pretty much every chapter. And their relationship doesn't really shift that much after this. It's just... not really all that emotionally satisfying, for such a supposedly intimate act. It seems like the story kind of wants to stay in the plausible deniability, "oh, we're just doing this (really really hot) stuff and its, haha, totally normal, noooo big deal, it doesn't mean anything... right?" kind of space, but the scenes themselves don't interact with or play with this idea emotionally except at the most nominal level. Like most of the supposedly overarching context in the story, in practice it's just something for Kanade to mention while the author shows her getting messed up by her underage dom in the same way with a new kind of play in their latest self-contained scene.
