I agree that it help save time and is less stress on the artist behind it I didn't feel it take away. I'm just glad to read. I don't think lack of background original art needs to be critiqued. Some things are harder to do then others.

Nah, I definitely thought it was a dude too.

Using photoshopped stock photos to use them as background is done by several manga authors and it has never been illegal, or unethical, as long as said pics are public domain, the author took them himself, or the rights have been bought. All manga these days are digitally drawn anyway. It saves them the hassle to hand draw detailed backgrounds.

TBF even ornithologists usually can't tell the difference without sticking a probe up the cloaca or seeing it lay eggs. Like a lot of animals that form "lifetime" pair-bonds in general, and birds doing so in particular, corvids be like "sexual dimorphism is for losers lul"

Happy to know this got officially licensed :D i dunno, i really love the series. I haven't followed the author's previous work, especially with the Het and Loli hentai imagery, but this seems like a good departure from that.

The present. Jayanti was on the lookout for something or someone on Khara's behalf, she fell asleep next to the cabin, then she was trapped inside by whoever is setting the cabin on fire upon her waking up. I wonder why she turned back into a human though, it doesn't seem like something she can do on command and the chapter gave me the impression Khara turned her into a crow in the first place to save her life. Maybe whoever caught her undid the magic.
