Wowa. Hopefully not with Matsuri! :)
One thing I noticed in a summer in Osaka was that Japanese women generally didn't show that much skin, even when it was hot and humid. There was the occasional schoolgirl skirt probably shorter than regulation, and it's not like I ever went to nightlife areas. But in Boston you could see a lot of young women dressed like that during the day -- maybe less flashy versions, but like short tank top and short shorts -- just walking around, and far less of that in Japan. If I did see someone in skimpy clothes I often guessed she was a visiting foreigner, whether from seeing a white boyfriend or overhearing her talk or both.
