Honestly, I don't get the hate either, because the drama feels secondary to me ? Like, this arc is more about introducing and giving depth to Lorelei and the drama feels very secondary to it. And I kinda like Lorelei and I think their moment with Hima are pretty fun and cute. Albeit, clearly, Hima and Yori still spend a lot of time together, so for Yori to be so jealous over Hima "listening to someone else music" feels very weird to me ? She didn't mind when she used to be in the baking club, so it's not like they spend less time together than before.

I'm not sure what does it accomplish to make Hima become Laureley's manager though ?

Albeit the way I understand it both are kinda lying ? Mami was indeed dropping those on purpose to get attention, but I doubt she did spread gossip about her old group of friend ?

Edit : After rereading, I do think she did invent bullying rumors about her previous group of friend

But I can't get myself to see Mami as the bad person, and I'm kinda glad she's getting Taka on her corner. She definitely have some unheatlhy behavior, but I hope she can grow out of it.

The more it goes, the more I doubt the arrow actually show love. It seems to show desire more than anything, if the party scene in chapter 6 and Rinna fleeting arrow are anything to go by. Of course, you can have desire for someone and love them, but they doesn't have to be tied.

That it show love is her own interpretation, but that doesn't mean she's right.

Started reading the LN but stopped at some points. It's mostly dubcon to rape depending how you see it for most of the earlier chapters.

Hmmm. I don't know if I love the whole ~humans are flawed~ angle (read: making characters flawed with things like age gaps, cheating, smoking, rape, etc for the sake of "realism" instead of just giving characters more depth personality-wise) this is taking. I don't know if there's a more appropriate term for it (I feel like 'edgy' would be too harsh) but a lot of manga/anime are guilty of doing it without even making the characters 3-dimensional in the first place. I don't want to judge this manga so harshly so early into its run so hopefully I'm just jumping the gun here.

Well, that's thing people do in real life, I'm not sure why in a story grounded in reality a character couldn't have such flaws ?
