This manga hits very hard. I am a freediver also in the Philippines. I have been diving for a few years now. Having this quarantine is suffocating me and I miss the ocean. I was just surprised about how similar the manga is to my personal life. I also liked this Chinese girl on our place. She understands Tagalog but not really that great. We also have a communication gap.

That was pretty cute uwu short and sweet. Tho as a filipino I just wanna say

As someone from the Philippines, I initially got confused why she's speaking in Spanish. But damn this is way too cute! Hope to see more stories like this. Actions speak louder than words.

Lmao, maybe you are too young, but your granny should know spanish, my english teacher was a woman from Philippines and she learned ensligh and spanish in that country when she was young.

Here I was thinking that I was so good for understanding a bit of the Spanish from my classes back in high school only to find out that this was not good grammar. sigh I better forget it so that I don't learn it the wrong way, thus deteriorating my Spanish skills further... xD

this is frickin beautiful. they both speak different languages and can only communicate using the minimal English they learned in middle school

"Me fumo la clase" me everyday

I just used a machine translator for "me fumo la clase" and it said "I smoke the class". Is that a literal translation or just your usual MTL shenanigans? I gather from reading the thread that the meaning is more like "I'll skip the class", or something along those lines.

I am not so much a romantic these days but reading this made me feel a little.
