People saying they didn't expect that Namori can go dark clearly skipped this

I think the difference is that this story was in a series known for happy endings, so people expected one from this story as well.

Had to do some digging but it looks like it was called Session 9. It's a horror film.

My takeaway from chapter 4 is that Midori does not have romantic feelings for Ema and has been going along with the flow. Now that Ema is taking things very seriously, Midori is stressing out over how she's going to end this relationship without inflicting too much emotional pain on Ema. Well, that's my guess anyway.

I get the feeling Midori is just going out with Emma due to obligation rather than actual love.
That is why she keeps ripping her hair out.

It even seems like that Ema-kun is bullying Midori-kun (check Ema-kun s psycho face out at the last page and how she press her shoes into Midori-kuns).

Is Ema actually abusing Midori or something? It looks like Ema's stepping on Midori's foot in the last page which seems a bit ominous given how ominous the whole story is. I don't know if it's just symbolism or something though since no one has mentioned that yet lol.

Edit: Well, I got ninja'd. Still, I wonder what's happening here... I'd love to see a followup to this story where Midori actually rejects Ema.
