The pixiv post from the author's account says this was supposedly a true story given to them by a contributor, so it wasn't the author's personal experience. In fact, all of the manga in that series give the same explanation. Perhaps a biographical tag would suffice.

1. It’s unlikely any jewelry would be allowed to be worn at school, especially for Koguma as the class president/representative.

2. Koguma would not have reacted the way she did on the next page (hands covering her crotch) had Hino not been correct about the color underneath.

edit: on page 7, whatever is translated as "You're no match for guys around here!" probably intends to say the opposite?
