I'm going to say I don't like Shy. She can be scared, but as a hero she can't be that indecisive. This just rubs me the wrong way, like the way a shounen manga with a stupid protagonist would.
Yuri though, is always welcome. If there is any.
We also don't know her age, but it's implied and looks looks like she's not any older than being a teenager. So she's still probably coming into her own and trying to figure herself out, on top of managing the whole burden of being a hero. Which is a classic story with the likes of Peter Parker and so fourth, Miles Morales in Spiderverse as another Spidey example.
It's the first chapter, hating her when the story hasn't even begun to have character development or progress feels unfair, especially given her young age. I can't tell people what to do or how to think, but in my opinion people sometimes get on the hate bandwagon way too quickly. I think it's best to instead keep the door open and see how things progress, develop your opinions over time and give the author a chance to flesh out the characters.
