Thats not really bad, just tragic. A bad "yuri" ending would be the boy from the flashback joining their office to get revenge. He manipulates them and makes Kisaki think he and Chishiro are in a relationship. This causes her to fully transform into a tree and he abuses Chishiros sorrow to actually start dating her. After geting married and buying a house they arrange for the tree to be moved to their garden. Except he swaps it with another and makes a bed out of the real Kisaki. They make lots of babies on the bed. 10/10, depressing as fuck, [everyone hated that].
I can’t for the life of me remember the title of this one. All I can remember is that there’s a girl who fluffs her hair while saying something like “you’re so funny~” in response to the other girl. There’s a big height difference too.
There’s been a biiig 13 year timeskip and Midori’s child, Kon, runs away from home after getting into an argument with Maki. Kon feels out of place in school due to her classmates’ homophobia toward her family. Kon internalizes this homophobia in that she doesn’t want to be ‘weird’ and left out, so her relationship with them (especially Maki) is strained. Maki’s friend, Komari finds her and takes her in for a bit. After sum stuff, she shows her a picture of Maki and Midori on the beach, causing Kon to break down. She’s angry at herself for not defending herself and her parents and admits she doesn’t hate Maki. In the end, she acknowledges her parents’ hardships to be together. When Komari takes that picture of Kon, it’s a final reminder that Kon is truly Midori and Maki’s child (really liked this line so I stole it from @johnb’s post above).
Was dreading reading this manga at the start, but the amazing sort of ‘out-there’ art kept me in to experience this wonderful story. I love it. It’s such a damn shame that this wasn’t too popular in Japan
Also I wanna see the main pair all grown uppppp and co-habitation yuriiii
