Can someone explain to me the Inuyasha reference ? I'm ashamed i didn't watch at all this one and really don't plan to.
Inuyasha is a half-demon who was very hostile to Kagome in the first episodes of the series, and pretty much the only reasons he didn't kill her right away is cause since he wears this thing called Beads of Subjugation (which he can't remove by himself) whenever Kagome says "sit" he gets slammed to the ground.
That collar Bazu's wearing is pretty reminiscent of that, so it makes sense people would make comparisons
Yup yup. Inuyasha was what got me into anime/manga almost 20 years ago. I even fansubbed and helped distro the episodes the old fashioned way (via IRC), lol.
Basically Kagome is the reincarnation of Inuyasha's old miko girlfriend, Kikyou, so that allows her to travel to the sengoku jidai through a well located on her property (she lives at a shrine). Once she arrives and endures some shenanigans, which include releasing Inuyasha from where he's pinned to a tree by Kikyou's magic miko arrow, she meets Kikyou's (now elderly) sister, who has had the time by then to prepare an enchanted necklace with which to subjugate Inuyasha and thus prevent him from rampaging like a giant jerk. Kaede slaps that around his neck and Kagome binds it to herself with the command "OSUWARI", which is basically the Japanese command to "sit" for a dog. It slams him to the ground regardless of what he's doing, and so thus keeps him in check--though it's mostly used for comedic effect. lol
