Highlight episode of the anime. I thought the story had been spinning its wheels a little lately but not anymore.

i just love the interactions between kaede and koyuki the chemistry between them is so cute (in a not romantic way) i just love the contrast of the playful and cheery personality of kaede and the shy and introverted personality of koyuki

The more I think about it, the more necessary these family/Kaede interludes strike me. They show that the change in Koyuki isn’t laser-focused on Konatsu, and she can open up and have fun with a friend and with her own family, rather than Koyuki just going from being isolated from everyone to being isolated from everyone except one other person.
