This scenario isn't new in itself and usually used in much worse kinds of works , but what makes it work here is how pure Honey Trap is and how incompetent Master X turned out to be.

Damn strong start, big fan so far

It was such a strong and concise start. We get blushing on their first encounter, rescuing and taking back to their home, bandaged up scene, holding down on bed scene, offer to live together, and then you get office worker clothes, introduction to their real names, and then a sworn alliance? They're practically married while we also get to see Honey act all flustered while she tries to profess her love to Hayate. Here's to another 100 chapters and not an early cancelation!

I'd assume it's one of those "situation reducing the percieved lewdness" things. Like it's not really sexy when you're figure drawing a nude model you're just more focused on trying to get the pose and everything. If she's more focused on "this person is injured" she's not likely to focus on the fact there's a mostly naked girl that's super flustered in her bed.

I'm just really hoping that the curse of Comedy doesn't apply, and we actually get some Romance in the series.

My fear is that Hero-san will remain oblivious, even when Honey-chan makes undoubtedly clumsy moves on her.
