Look closer? The hands? The feets? The butts? The proportions are all out of whack.

That profile made me shudder.

I've seen worse, of course, like everyone, but it reminds me of that manga about fencing, where the artist is hardly trying.

don't be mean
apparently it is the first work of the author (at least the first one I see here lol)

So stating your opinion on the art is a no no unless its praise? Even when you actually point out specific issues?

Please people, critique is not inherently bad and should not be treated as such without good reason.

Edit: Now that I've read it I can say that I personally enjoy the art style though if I look for cringe moments they are there. I cannot bend my wrist like that. I tried. It hurt.

I have this bad feeling that Kousaka is being manipulative, based on her facial expressions, the hug and things like that, I hope she's not but I can't help worrying.

Normally I'm not a fan of age gap, but this one has caught my interest.

The art style, particularly the faces, reminds me of Minazuki Juuzou.

I believe the issue is that the statement of opinion in question came across as excessively harsh and/or rudely worded for no good reason. IMO, "really badly drawn" is an unnecessary exaggeration.

Interesting... I'll follow it. See where it will take me... Hopefully not a dark place like more than half of the series I get into...

Looks promising but geee her mom is a bit of a bitch. Yeah drag your daughter out into the countryside and have her attend to boring social events.

I really wish to know how she's living like that... What kind of work she has too, what I'm certain is that she's at least 30% a pervert

The older women clearly has her eyes on Maki. The fact that she's so mysterious gives off the impression that she is just toying with a younger girl.

Cute manga! I loved the initial plot :) ! That 30's years girl is really adorable

This manga caught me off guard, I forgot that in these age gap yuri manga the adult doesn't necessarily has to be a teacher.
Nice first chapter, I love that she saved the photo.

Btw did anyone else notice that when she was cooking, she was holding the chopped parts?? https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/kimi_wa_shoujo_ch01#29

Definitely interesting! I wonder how much older she is? Do you think she's in her 20's or 30's? (In either case, in reality it would be a bit off, but for fiction, eh, whatever...)

I'm bored, so I'll try and come up with some theories on the "what's the 30-year old single woman doing in this place and how is she supporting herself" question:
1. She's from some stuffy, rich family and after messing around with another woman/possibly women was essentially banished to the country-side.
2. She herself dated some older woman, and once her quasi-wife died, inherited the house and enough money to support herself.
3. She writes porn (or possible something else) and prefers doing so where rent is cheap.
4. She's sickly and somebody thought living in peace and quietude would help.
5. She's really into historical re-enactment and feels the countryside is closer to her ideal.
6. She's running from a violent husband and hiding out in that village.
7. She's a former idol/model/actress and moved to a place where nobody knows her.

*8. She's some politician's former mistress and was set up in this out of the way place to keep her out of the public eye.

Nice ideas, but honestly, she seems pretty sketchy. That hug sent off a bunch of alarms in my head. Protag-chan has to have some more self awareness about following strangers into their homes.

nice catch, lol

And about the art style, this artist is doing really good at the background, but the characters' movement are rather stiff.

I love how you give it an exact number lol

This seems promising! As a first chapter, I would say it was pretty solid.

Hm. I genuinely can't decide. Such mystery.

Why you so boring?

Oh wow, this was nice. Normally I'd be bothered by such a big age gap, but it didn't bother me here. I wonder why. I'm totally following this series, though

I liked it overall.

As for the art, I think calling it 'really bad' is a bit of an exaggeration - stuff like Plica is bad - this overall is fine imo - and I am often a bit critical of art here. It's not really GOOD, and some stuff is off, but not so much it spoiled it.

One thing I'd point out as bad with the art is sometimes the figures look like cutouts stuck onto the picture. (see panel 1 on 404) its hard to pinpoint why exactly - outlines being too thick, shading is different, perspective is not matched? - they just don't seem to be quite IN the scene.

As for Pyoro's list - a fairly good shot at typical manga/anime plots :) But I'm surprised at something you missed-
am I the only one who got slightly supernatural vibes at times? Something felt a bit off to me - like some slight danger or supernatural element - maybe it was her traditional dress or how inside her house was drawn?

Like she might be some kind of Youkai woman, witch, ghost etc - there are many variations.

If I'm totally off there, and I think chances are I am, then I have to wonder why it felt a bit like that to me, and if it was deliberate by the author - or they messed up somehow and gave off a vibe that they were not aiming for.

I thought the same. But it's NOT teacher x student so maybe that's why. Atleast, that's probably why this still works for me.
