I might sound like an ass, but as a blind person, she could cut line in pretty much any place, if she played her blindness
Mari seemed like she didn't like using her handicap as a crutch, as it were. She gets annoyed by people treating her differently for it.
It also seems like Mari didn't expect there to be such a long line, which is why she didn't book a table.
I really like how this story handled her blindness as just one of Mari's quirks, instead of defining her completely as "the blind girl" or trying to make us feel sorry for her (if anything she comes off as very strong willed and capable). It wasn't even pointed out until several pages in.
It is played for slapstick once, with her pressing her phone into Manami's face, but there it's more a joke about her being pushy than blind, and I feel like they would've done the same joke even if she could see.
Also agree with everyone about the art, it's wonderful and I hope this artist makes more stuff that ends up here.
Really cute little story, and these girls would make an adorable couple. Manami is so thirtsy, and Mari knows it.
I also love how Mari can stare down Manami despite being blind, with closed eyes.
