(sigh) I know there are people who have masochistic tastes. However, why does anime, and manga always make characters, that take it to ridiculously over the top levels. It's not funny, it's creepy.

That's what many mangas/anime or even cartoons/comics have always been doing, exaggerating things, that's what they made for. And if it's creepy that's because masochism is creepy in itself (and for most people outside of this world), the exaggeration just exacerbate it; it's very well done. And I'm pretty much convinced it might not be exaggeration for some people.

Also, remember everything crazy that happens on the panels are actually in the characters' heads; and everything inside your mind is always way more intense than what it is on the outside.

But seriously I do find it a little bit funny that there are apparently like a bunch of sub categories and flavors of under age girls each with their own label.

These are scientific terms, hebephelia, pedophilia, ephebophilia are, originally, pure categorisation of attraction to different range of age/development.

Edit: I still can't believe after months not reading comments I still find things like : "this is morally wroooong". At some point, you'd thought those who don't like it would stop reading those kind of stories and those who keep reading won't care about those comments anyway... But I guess one needs to vent like I'm doing right now, so...

At least they connected, at least it didn't end in suicide pact and they even managed to find hope for afterwards. I wish she could have found hope.. A drama with an happy ending, that's pretty daring though.

It's not about distinguishing fiction from reality. Asuka looks like a standard self-loathing character, so she rejects everything that might make her happy or close to it; perhaps in hope that Mikaze will chase her or she just genuinely think it shouldn't happen cause it brings up thing she doesn't like.

It's a good thing to make a little effort to be cuter or, more specifically, to make a good impression. And wanting to be cuter isn't a bad thing either. It's bad only when it makes you feel bad about yourself or makes you act like an asshole because others aren't making as much effort as you do; but it's not essentially wrong to be willing to change to be more attractive. Of course, whatever you do, it's better to accept yourself beforehand.

On the story, I'm digging it already since it's Ajiichi and I love DMT and her other main series is good comedy from what I could read. And it's nice to read stories about bad people sometimes!

It's not really that complicated to guess the sense in context and a quick google search should be enough to clear all doubts aboot the meaning. It's not like it's a complete different language!

Everybody and their sisters are lesbian in this story.. I didn't feel like Harumin was attracted to Yuzu, I still don't feel it to be honest. I couldn't help but feel it was just wishful thinking by readers, but the evidence are piling up and it's a bit sad... I want pure friendship :(

Remember as well that we don't see everything, Saburouta choses to focus on the drama most of the time, but they may have nice behaviour.

In other words, you're filling in the blanks in the story with your own headcanon.

And it's easy to imagine Mei falling for Yuzu as well.

Yeah probably... I guess instead of giving examples of what I might like, I should have just said that when you fall in love (or have a crush or w/e), you tend to find positive traits in almost everything the object of affection does and is.

The reason many readers think HaruminxYuzu should be end-game is because Harumin is the only person in this story with whom Yuzu is consistently shown to have a deep enough bond that would maybe justify a long-term relationship.

Yeah but that's just an indication that they will have a good friendship, not that they'll be good lovers. Of course, being friend with your lover is a good thing, but there's something missing in their current relationship to make them lovers : attraction toward each other.

I don't know for Harumin, but Yuzu clearly isn't attracted to Harumin, so they can't be a couple and it wouldn't make sense.

I'm not buying this romance between Mei and Yuzu. They have an extremely shallow relationship in which Yuzu only likes Mei because she's pretty, [...].

And she's diligent, serious, and Yuzu finds good points even when outsiders find it unreasonable.. Ohmygod! Would it be possible that Yuzu is... In love? Like with all the irrational behaviours and thinking that comes with it?!

Add to that that Yuzu is a nice girl with probably a saviour complex, and it's easy to see why she loves Mei. Remember as well that we don't see everything, Saburouta choses to focus on the drama most of the time, but they may have nice behaviour. Just look at vol6/7 how intense and sweet their relationship is, it makes sense. And it's easy to imagine Mei falling for Yuzu as well.

And being pretty is/looks are important in a relationship, or in the process of falling in love with somebody.

Well, it's as good reason as any other. They are both adults who got their lives going. One gets his daughter taken care of, the other sees her life conditions level up. I think it's not as ridiculous as you and I make it sound. After thinking about, it's a pretty fucking brilliant idea!

A beneficial arrangement for two parties, that's what marriage is all about. In terms of "love marriage", it is a bit of a scam but otherwise, it's a perfect win-win.

Technically, It's Ume and Mei's dad marriage that will be in jeopardy with Yuzu and Mei's relationship.

Honestly, their marriage is more of a benevolent scam than anything else. The point was for Ume to take care of Mei, I guess if Mei and Yuzu ends up together, they don't have any more reason to be together at all. Unless they end up fancying each other, which would be cool for both of them!

I wonder though, how that would work : it's not like they can control their children's behaviour, I'm curious as to why it would render their marriage invalid or threaten it?

To be fair, they were only step sisters for a short time and when they were already a bit "old", relatively speaking.

Also, Ume is best mum and really understanding individual, and the Dad is working to become the chillest dude ever so it's no real surprise.

I don't get why people complain about the lack of consequences of coming out when the biggest drama is to come : coming out publicly in front of Mei's grandpa and the other bunch; with the risk of Mei rejecting Yuzu for embarrassing her or else before they finally get together.

Yeah, I thought I should just suffer through it just to see the ending of one of first yuri series I ever read.

If I was in that situation, I guess I'd just come back to see how it ends but only when the actual last chapter is published. I still think this series is best read in one go.

Or just forget it altogether, I think that happened more often than not when a series disappointed me.

Yeah, Im done. This is it. After so many years of drama it turns out it was all for nothing. Final nail in the coffin for me.

I didn't think I'd find something as sweet as that cute blushing session, or that the characters would still be able to feel embarrassed about simple things like that at this point.
