You guys got it all wrong. It was cearly a love explosion.
Breaking news — we are getting reports of what appears to have been a massive spontaneous explosion originating near a 7-11 store. Reporter Bethany is on the scene. Bethany, to you.
Bethany: Yes, thank you Hamantha, I am 20 miles out from the scene of the explosion that has appears to have completely annihilated what used to be a university complex. Investigators say that the explosion was caused by, and I quote, “massive amounts of unstable gay energy”. No survivors have been found at the current moment, as rescue parties are able to enter the crater — still very densely irradiated with gay energy. Back to you, Hamantha.
Hamantha: Yes, yes, anyways, this just in: useless lesbians continue to be useless. More after the break.
Blondie is just a little bit superficial person... Oh well, lot of relationships actually start exactly for reasons like that.
Afterwards the people love to explain and rationalize their crushes with something that feels bit more solid and logical, so it's not embarrassing to admit someone just was in your strike/kink zone and you took a chance on them.
It also explains why rescue romances are so popular in fiction. It's a good way to pretend you had at least some kind of deeper and more worthwhile reason to go after someone.
I was just thinking about this earlier this year. I was like “what happened to that rap yuri manga?” I think I have a super power for thinking of specific manga, then having it show up. But regardless, it’s good to see old stuff coming back like that Bakeneko series.
So, someone may have posited this before, but is there any significance to the screentone the author is using for the arrows that the MC, despite her years of having this ability, just hasn't yet clued into? Or am I the one reaching here?
The various types of arrows represent various types of love, albeit not in a clear cut way. Some aspects we can guess based on the personalities of their owners (eg. Sayo's tentacle arrows suggest obsession, Mirai's flimsy arrows seem to represent lighthearted crushes that she can easily move on from) but much like Mei herself, we can only make educated guesses of what they truly mean.
So I don’t remember the names like that, but I think I can determine with a word like “obsession” you’re referring to one of the main two. I thought you were talking about the blue haired one, but I wouldn’t called that arrow a tentacle... I guess the blonde one since she has shot out a massive amount before... but I’d go with “fierce love” as a description of that rather than “obsession.” The blue one would probably be more obsessed based off that red throbber she keeps on deck. And I guess the one twin is the flimsy one.
The characters look and feel like they were inspired by the Love Live characters. The twins and roommates (the 3rd years and 2nd years). The 1st years might be related to the upcoming fake date and other romantic duties. This is about to turn into a straight up harem.
