Decided to give this another try. The story is as uncomfortable as the first time.

It's funny how much better she looked with the long hair, and I'm saying this as someone who typically loves short hair. I think the author was going for cool with this cut, but it ended up looking so goofy XD

PAIN

at the end of ch4 in my reading and just like, damnit, I hope japanese laws permit gay couples to adopt. like instead of "isn't starting with appearances okay" she would have made her intent known so much better with "we can adopt. it wouldn't be mimicking anymore at that point"

Ugn...I hate that haircut so much. It haunts me in every panel, I have to concentrate to ignore it and pay attention to the drama. The split part fluffed up bangs thing is so absurd looking.

I actually recall reading a manhwa or manga a while back that had that haircut on its protagonist and redesigned him away from it to a more normal haircut because of complaints, with characters in-setting saying they forced him to change it because it was terrible.

At least it helps me remember the series? I see the hair and instantly recall everything...

i think it's because they didn't give her a short woman's cut, or even a tomboy cut, but just straight up a men's cut. as evidenced by the date from ch6 having almost the exact same pne

I think she was about to say "I would totally love to continue doing so, I don't plan on leaving you ever afterall" or some such. maybe an "actually I like you so it would be my ideal" thrown in there

so the whiplash of finally seeing her opportunity just to be hit with the one comphet line to rule them all? the tears make perfect sense for sure, and the kiss likely came crashing out with them

Yeah on page 6 she was definitely about to confess because she felt like she might have a chance...and then boom comphet the following page, followed by the kiss because it all just broke
