After thinking on it a bit, stating that love WILL fix every problem is honestly more irresponsible than saying it doesn't. Probably should have had a follow-up clarification for the little bro though.

Right? The problem here is that Mitsuki is already in a bad spot and so is the kid. But what she told him is nothing outrageous.

Ok ok ok let me get this straight so in chapter 167 we see a tipsy aya pulling an emotionally unwell mitsuki on top of her after saying “come here i’m lonely“ and now… everyone is assuming that mitsuki r*ped aya? what? we don’t even know if they did anything sexual. they literally could have just fooled around. the writer has never indicated that they do anything explicitly sexual when aya is drunk. she has written in aya getting really handsy with mitsuki after drinking … probably because my girl has a hard time being vulnerable without some liquid courage yes I said it aya also has a hard time being vulnerable in this relationship that is why she needs to drink to allow herself to get clingy and cuddly with her girlfriend of literallyyyyyyy several years. both girls have so many issues because they are young and inexperienced and they. do. not. communicate directly or in a healthy way. but thats the entire point of the comic. they are both a mess and we are here watching them come to grips with how these patterns of behavior are negatively impacting their relationship because love is not enough to keep a relationship afloat.

that is the theme of this arc! and tbh one that i think yuri readers need to reckon with. a lot of readers are highkey aki in this situation, struggling to accept that two people loving each other does not mean they’re automatically going to live happily ever after. love is hard work and being lesbians in a yuri comic does not change that haha

Agreed! Which doesn't necessarily mean they will break up. It just means that love isn't enough to keep a relationship working. Communication, maturity and responsibility for yourself and your partner is as important as loving them :-)

I really like the self-reflection from Aki that he couldn't fight back against the conformity from his school friends. I wonder his twin thinks of all this or if he's aware of the issues Aki has been having at school.

I liked this chapter. I think that once they’ve dealt with the emergency of finding Aki, this could be a good starting point for rebuilding and strengthening their relationship. Communication should be key, as will addressing the emotional baggage each of them carries. I also hope they can help and support Aki as he deals with his doubts and fears.

So Mitsuki finally admitted to herself that we already knew what her problem is.

Really clear this series needs to move on from the weekly 4 page format imo. Every time we get an extended chapter it immediately becomes 4x more coherent, interesting and layered than all the 4 page chapters in between. Like there's a palpable tension here that just wouldn't exist if this was broken up into 3 separate 4 page chunks.

The stormy confusion of all the panels; and then the the simple, decisive clarity of the last one. That works for me.

It took Mitsuki WAYYYYY too long to realize she's a fucking idiot.

I agree. While this chapter could hypothetically have been split into three four-page chapters-- Mitsuki angsting, Aki in the park, and Mitsuki and Aya deciding to find Aki-- it flows a lot better as a 12-page chapter.

I also think that having longer chapters would allow Mitsuki and Aya to do something that they haven't done until this point-- sit down and have a serious and in-depth discussion about their relationship problems.

Been on this since 2022 and def agree that longer chapters every 2 weeks would make the story so much more coherent and move things along much faster though I do still enjoy the 4 page format

She has an immediate guilty reaction. That's not unreasonable. Many people don't move immediately from shock in these types of situations.
