They would then be much better prepared to face life together without doubts, a lack of communication, or fear causing their bond to crumble like a house of cards.

I think this ending suits perfectly to the series. Ai and Kon finally got the happiness they deserved, after suffering and going for.through so much. I hope that in the future, Ai will be able to silence her “curse” once and for all, thanks to Kon’s support and love (and probably therapy).
Kaede is a character who gives me mixed feelings. On the one hand, she’s responsible for what happened and has caused Ai serious harm through their toxic relationship. But on the other hand, she clearly suffers from a mental disorder and urgently needs specialized help.

I liked this chapter. I think that once they’ve dealt with the emergency of finding Aki, this could be a good starting point for rebuilding and strengthening their relationship. Communication should be key, as will addressing the emotional baggage each of them carries. I also hope they can help and support Aki as he deals with his doubts and fears.

I like the entire run of the series. I don't think that focusing on other characters, developing them and giving them a backstory is a "mediocre drama". It gives fresh, new air to the series. Of course, I want to see more of Himari and Yori!

The ending was satisfying enough for me, although I would have preferred this manga to have been much longer. I liked it, but I can't be impartial. I love Usui Shio's works.

The slow bloom is killing my poor kokoro but I think the story has the right pace for them. Both have been cautious so far, and as a result, their feelings have begun to surface more and more strongly. Maybe now we'll see one of them take a slightly bolder step.
