Really like this one! I think a lot of yuri focuses in the strugle of “I have to marry a man” or in fact have a woman that married a man as the only adult problem a lesbian will face but there are alot of stuff you can explore instead of that, this being one! Being in a relationship (same sex or not) can be very no-romantic and exhausting
I wouldn’t call it angst tbh, it’s very wholesome

Yup yup. All relationships take work. That work looks different for different relationships, but it's not always going to be easy. It's nice to a see a oneshot focusing on that.

What's weird about the watch isn't that it was brought up as "evidence" of her being left-handed, it's that the tan line was darker than the rest of her skin.

Lol some people just overthink things or focus on the wrong things. It happens.

I love this because it focuses on a specific relationship trouble you rarely see.

That was a clever title drop at the end

Their couple has issues, and nothing was solved.

It was solved tho?
Their problem began because mc started taking her girlfriend for granted, and said girlfriend chose to confront her in a dishonest way (faking jealousy).
After being honest about what the real issue was, they worked it out and they're happy again.

dang so cutee. im glad they had more reasons to stay then leave. though i do hope they start figuring how to communicate better and be honest with each other. otherwise it would just be a toxic cycle and theyll have to break up for good lmao.

reminder to not threaten your partner with a break up if you dont actually mean it, because most times partners will take it at face value and thats hard to undo.

The weirdest thing about the watch thing is that someone actually wears watches in this day and age, when everyone checks time on their phone. But alright, apparently Maya wears it all the time, since she got a watch tan... except we don't see it a single time in the course of this story, including an outing to the bar :P

if my gf started on that I'd be like. "Why are you acting heterosexual"
because damn. that is some hallmark movie hettie behavior

Does that make you the male lead who's been ignoring the female lead's emotional needs and struggles until this inevitable tipping point?

I wear a watch, it's faster than pulling out a phone. But yeah odd to not draw it

I wear a watch too. It's just more convenient, especially when you're active.

honestly, I thought it was pretty healthy (kind a). What relationship doesn't have arguments? They saw there was an issue and addressed it. Sure, they got upset with each other and acted on their emotions (not to mention the almost-cheating situation), but they eventually sat down and talked it through. It was really cute.

The whole story takes place in the span of a couple hours. It starts at the end of the day when Maya is home for the night and must have already taken it off. She is actually wearing it in the one panel that takes place earlier in the day when they were shopping (page 28). As a nice detail, you can also see the watch tan on page 8, so the reader does have a brief chance to notice the same thing the other woman does.

I mean it wasn’t an outing to the bar so much as her spur-of-the-moment running away from home and going somewhere to blow off steam lol

Did you miss the point where they "broke up"? That's not healthy in the least.

I agree that they both seem to have learned from their mistakes and grew stronger from it. Making mistakes is human, but it wasn't exactly exemplary behavious.

Did you miss the part where I said "kind a"? But yeah, I do agree that their behavior shouldn't be excused just because they're human. It's natural for people to make mistakes, but what matters is that they learn, grow from the experience, and take responsibility for their actions.

Okay?

A bit of a nothing burger imo.

Nothing really happened except a couple's spat.

Their couple has issues, and nothing was solved.

gods forbid an author explores something a bit smaller scale instead of a huge dramatic plot

To be fair,
This chapter starts off the stereotypical hetero type of quarrels if I may say so.. Sorry if it sounded very..bias

But, you're also right
It's a very typical couple's quarrels that I myself cannot say this is how hetero couple argues. But what is or how do same sex couple quarrel then? I think some are pretty much like this?

Anyhow,a happy ending!
What a sweet couple

i really liked this one!!!

everyone seems to expect couples to just have happy days -- there's ups and downs, especially if you're a sweetheart couple who grew up together. this is a very common topic in arguments -- it's not hetero or homo, it's just one person is feeling insecure, lashes out at the other partner, the other partner has no idea what's going on and they both keep escalating. this can happen in any relationship, platonic or romantic.

I really need to stop skimming the comments before diving into something. Y'all had me worried.

I really liked this one too. This sits right in the just right amount of angst zone for me.
