this is interesting because like, presumably Karin's crush isn't really going to go anywhere, considering you know she's younger than Hiro. the man's daughter.

But it sure sucks for Hiro herself lmao. rival to her dad of all people.

This was a ok portrayal of young unrequited love with someone who's older. But do feel like the two main females characters would end together despite obstacles that may arise. great work, Touma! Really looking forward to this series :)

I am just a little bit iffy not because there is hetero content, but more because it can become a relationship between a 16 year old girl and a 38 grown man.

But apart from that, a story about unrequited love can be pretty interesting

I don't know where it's going to go from here but it is interesting. I don't think that scanlation group "sappho scans" would choose to take up this series if the budding crush of a sixteen year old girl on her friend's father wasn't handled with tact lol.

It's good to have stories like this too. Getting a crush on an adult is a part of growing up too, after all. And too many romance stories treat that as a legitimate goal that you should have, so I look forward to a different take.

Surely you don't believe that everyone automatically "looks their age"? People's appearance differs naturally, and then that can be affected further by clothing, makeup, and demeanor. I've known a girl who looked 15 when she was 11 (and 19 when she was 15), and another girl who got taken for under 12 when she was 21+, and a bunch of 12 year old girls at a party who did not all look the same age.

And yes, some 16 year olds will wear high heels, miniskirts, and jewels at times. Nothing unbelievable about that.

you don't need to announce you're not reading something to the world, especially in this pointlessly judgmental way. it's a fact of life that millions of teen girls have crushed on an older man, it's not in any way problematic to write stories about things that are completely normal irl lol. things happen, it's not a moral endorsement to write stories about things that happen. like, imagine reading an action manga where someone is killed by the villain and then saying "i'm not reading this trash, murder is wrong", that'd be totally ridiculous

personally this one's super relatable because it happened to me, crushing on a girl who crushed on an older man when i was in high school. hope it ends better for her

There's also a lot about her that we don't know, like why she was at a convenience store that was (probably) in the middle of nowhere and asked to crash with Hiro for the weekend, even before meeting her dad.

Also, I wonder what was up with that focus shot on her necklace.

First chapter confused me to hell and back, but this one helps make a little more sense of things. My theory is that, first of all, Karin doesn't actually like Hiro's Dad. I think the tags may be a little misleading, though I guess it's impossible to know when the story is ongoing...

I'm wondering if Hiro's dreams are snippets of things that happened while she's asleep that she doesn't remember? Or her perspective on her Dad and Karin is warped because her dreams are making her interpret Karin as liking her dad. Who knows.
