Huh. Well...I admit I'm still interested because, let's be honest, the older person in age gap stories is not often depicted as the aggressive/assertive one, for the obvious reason that it's difficult to do that and not have it come of as predatory, abuse of authority, etc. Rightly or wrongly, I don't feel it has crossed into that territory yet, even with what happened here, but more communication and characterization is desperately needed to flesh out this situation, ASAP.

Which I guess in the end just boils down to it having hooked me into badly wanting more. XP

The story is not as creepy as some people might expect. I went through chapters 3 and 4 expecting it to end in a train wreck, because all the signs were there. The MC was getting very confused and started skipping out on school. She distanced herself from her friends because she could not understand what she went through, but could not expect anyone else to understand either. However, it turns out what she was confused about was love, and she confesses. The feeling is mutual, and she finally engages Kousaka lovingly. They both realize that they need each other. At the end of chapter 5 is a sentence "but when I needed you you disappeared"....So, drama after Chapter 5 incoming?

This seems like a moderately long manga that will not end depressingly or in a creepy way. Support.

From all the hints that have been dropped so far in the story, this doesn't feel like a relationship that has a long future. I think the best-case scenario is that Maki doesn't get hurt too badly and learns some things about herself by the time it's over.

This escalated a lot quicker than I'd have liked. But, oh well, I remember feeling the same about Bloom into You's 1st chapter :D. Not that I expect similar level of writing, but it's probably too early to lose interest when I've seen only 2 chapters.

It reminds me of the yaoi mangas where one is shy and the other guy is super aggressive (in a sexual way) is like the most common trope in yaoi, like it won't sell if they don't fuck in the first volume xD

That kind of setup is fairly common in yuri too, I've noticed.

Age of consent in Japan is 13. Then there's some other stipulations that depend on where you are, which could for example require a "serious relationship" (which could mean parental approval. Other countries have some similar cases, like Germany). So effectively it can often be 16 or 18.

Maybe that's why it's set somewhere in the middle of nowhere ... it's in 18 in Tokyo.
