That last panel makes me suspect that Matsukawa was cracking a joke. That is, the "boyfriend" is actually Senpai, and she's making fun of her masculinity/tomboyishness by pretending that they're not in a relationship and saying that she (Matsukawa) has a boyfriend.
I like your optimism, but she says "Yes, this is reality, and yet..." showing her joke around in the next panel, I'm guessing this is showing that even though, in reality, the person she fell in love with is straight, she still wants her to admire her more and touch her more
