Like, what do you even want? Would you rather there'd never be any sort of conflict bc apparently any kinda complications count as "forced drama" now. Is a story devoid of problems where nothing ever happens so there's no "drama" what you want? bc that's how you get "no substance, fluff only" slice of life 4-koma strips.

Often when people say "forced drama," what they mean is "bad drama." This series has a lot of bad drama, as others have explained. I would love some good drama, instead. This isn't it.

Yeah it's something where I think the fluff in this series is great, but the drama often leaves something to be desired. I wish both the drama and the fluff were great.

I still have some hope on the author. This drama has the same vibes of the race arc (scenario built in just one episode, sociocultural obligations, not thinking about your relationship first...), I don't want to believe that she'll repeat almost the same frustrating scenario again.

Personally, I love the light drama in this series, and the best episodes are when they agree after the drama (Crickets and Kase-san, Moving with Kase-san pt. 2...), so I hope this one has a good and new resolution.

I bet Kase will be upset, but not because Yamada missed out on her race because of work, a Japanese person understands that. But because she pushed her body so hard to the point of collapse again. She already said in that episode that she wants Yamada to quit this job after she fainting.

If Yamada just stopped and thought for a moment, she should just introduce Mikawacchi to her part time place.

She gets to go to the race, Mikawacchi gets a job, she gets to have time for sex with Kase.

Mikawacchi was technically the one who ditched that job on her in the first place.

I forgot. However...
That's even better, she already knows how to do it!

In my opinion it's worth it if you enjoy some cozy fluff between the main couple, because there's very comfy chapters of that, just between some iffy drama. Sometimes I need to take a break for a little bit so the drama can be easier to binge after numerous chapters are out, but I still enjoy the series. So it kind of depends on your tolerance for wonky drama. I feel the majority of people here hate the series now, so I might be in the minority with love for it and a willingness to say read it for the fluff lol

Personally, I recommend to read until chapter 26/28 and give it another break, at least since the actual arc is finished.

The fluff is unbeatable, I have to say, I generally like the drama in this series; it's usually lighthearted, with a few misunderstandings. But the story arc that follows those episodes (26/28) is terribly forced drama, literally the author created the perfect storm from nowhere in the last three pages of an episode.
