To me this feels very do I want to be them or be with them kind of troupe from both new girls. I don't see a break-up coming at all neither are aware of the feelings from the two nor have they shown even the slightest bit of interest in them like that either.

Also I'm proud of Mitsuki here she.seems to be having the ideas of wanting to play again and this is the first time she's outright said she's scared to touch the guitar

Yeah, cool your jets about a potential breakup, this is really about the series' usual theme of the connecting power of music.

Yes that was a huge detail. She's definitely wondering about music again and there should be more discussion about that. Also music helped Shu-chan ignore the pain in her knee. It must have been so good to feel "pain free." I'm sure she'll be attending more concerts now. The way music was connecting people was so interesting in this chapter and I'm anticipating how that will continue. Maybe Shu eventually attends a Mitsuki event.

Can someone summarize all the plot threads going on in this chapter? It was too impressionist for my fried brain to follow. D:

shu waits for aya and narita outside the bar, being grumpy. they go in, narita gets drinks, aya gives one to shu assuring her she will be fine once the gig starts. despite finding it loud, shu enjoys the show and finds she doesn't feel her injured knee as bad. she shares a moment with aya, thinking a world like this might be what she has always wanted to be connected to

at the same time, rinko ends up making extra drinks, so she takes one to mitsuki, who is looking at a guitar. mitsuki admits it scares her, and rinko tells mitsuki how cool and invincible she seems to her, and expresses her own worries about connecting with others. mitsuki shows her a picture of how she used to be at school. they also share a moment, rinko thinking a person like this might be what she has always wanted to be connected to

cut to them sitting across from each other on the same train home, presumably thinking gay thoughts

There's also that both girls know Aya and Mitsuki are taken anyway. They've both seen them with their significant other. Shu specifically knows for a fact that Aya is dating Mitsuki and the other friend had her melancholic realization a few chapters ago when Mitsuki ran to Aya in the rain. Neither girl seems like the nasty type. The connection could also refer to them.

Still a bit confused at the development, but at least the extra long chapter is truly a blessing! (and it seems that she's starting some really cool introspection stuff~)

Na I don’t want Shu with Rinko, I like when characters are stupidly in love with one of the leads for the whole series and that’s it. I think Shu fit that type of character. Rinko fits the type of character who falls in love with one of the leads, finds out she is in a relationship, broken heart but then without knowing it she falls in love with the protagonist's partner lol

Another hint that the artist never forgets about Mitsuki and her music. The artist is dropping hints, and sooner or later something big is going to happen.

I'm really glad to see a change in the format. I don't think this is going to be a regular thing, but it's still very welcome anyway. Too bad it didn't do much for me this time though, as I really don't care about those two new characters. There have been not build up with them, so it doesn't affect me in the slightest.
I'm still a bit bumped out that new characters are being introduced while others have been evicted from the cast.

For me, the story was not about Mitsuki and Aya, but other the other characters surrounded them.

Also, about Mitsuki's music career, I would like to see her doing a solo career. That would makes more sense given her character.
