I feel for Hebimori. Humanity is interesting sometimes. Sometimes, even our best efforts are just barely enough to keep up with those who are just naturally better at something than we are. Her challenge to Komichi - to "kill her [talent]" - is certainly understandable. But then together, we're all more than the sum of our parts, are we not?

And of course, the fated moment, where we were always meant to be...Komichi and Erika's first kiss. I'm so happy right now, you all...I joined in late being a fan of Akebi, but back then in 2022, when I started to ship Komichi and Erika, I had great hope in them. That this all would work out just as it would. And now...it has!

It took 88 chapters but it's finally happened our little gaybies are getting somewhere. I love them so much.

After all of that talk leading up to it I figured they were gonna chicken out. Especially since it was Erika that said she wanted to kiss her today and Komichi told her to hold my beer.

There are multiple scenes from in this series that I'm tempted to print in super hi-res and frame, Komichi dancing while Erika plays the piano at the school performance, Erika walking into the classroom for the first time with a princely appearance, Komichi being escorted by Erika out of her dormroom window just before their date, and maybe others. Page 59 of this chapter (ch 88) might be one I'll actually do it. Thank you, scanlators, for bringing us English readers this chapter.

Didn’t read this until the chapters around 70 were being published. Gotta read this in full now and then watch anime.

This is not just some part of their play getting immerse on their characters right? Right?!! Because damn that kissing scene! I can literally feel the author enjoying drawing that part, also did he just recorded of them making out?

Yeah the only thing that threw me off was that Komichi recorded it first, so it is part of the play and their characters. But it's also a real kiss, like they start out straight on, then turn their faces, that's a real damn kiss. And the conversation before the recording was extremely emotionally intimate.

To the people worried about characters and play, the whole reason this 'play' and all has been special (and also the reason why it was 'cancelled' by the shinryu) is because it was no longer just characters or fake, but rather it continued to evolve because of the girls and their feelings, even the original author of the play has been constantly changing settings and adding new characters (their classmates) as the story is not fiction anymore, but the whimsical everchanging magic that is human emotions and their impact in a living story. The girls, everyone involved really, are recording and writing as to share their story with all their intensity and also a safekeep for themselves (why not when you are full of dramatic flair? heh)
