I feel for Hebimori. Humanity is interesting sometimes. Sometimes, even our best efforts are just barely enough to keep up with those who are just naturally better at something than we are. Her challenge to Komichi - to "kill her [talent]" - is certainly understandable. But then together, we're all more than the sum of our parts, are we not?

And of course, the fated moment, where we were always meant to be...Komichi and Erika's first kiss. I'm so happy right now, you all...I joined in late being a fan of Akebi, but back then in 2022, when I started to ship Komichi and Erika, I had great hope in them. That this all would work out just as it would. And now...it has!

Just rewatched Episode 6 today and was thinking about this very thing right after.

Had Komichi and Erika started dating much earlier than they did in the manga, we might've had a scene like this occur for real.

They actually gave Hebimori a voice actress with a deep voice in the anime, now I'm wondering if that was a specific note from the author.

I hope so. And I really hope that season 2 announcement will be coming soon. I really want to see all of these moments in the beautiful animation we got with season 1.

I just ask this because who has the time nowadays right? And if I'm diving into 80 chapters I'd like to know in advance I already made that mistake with that one manga with the widower and the sister of the dead guy.

You can really understand why this family is so close and care so deeply for each other.

And no wonder why Komichi would go on to be a loving big sister to Kao and for Kao to be so strongly attached to Komichi.

You know, back when I first began watching and reading Akebi, I always saw Komichi as a sort of superhero in her own way. Yes, she didn't have any powers or anything, but she does have a big heart of gold and a love for everyone.

This chapter really took me back. She was a true hero ever since she was born, literally helping to save her mom when she needed her most. And the fact that Yuwa and Komichi could've died at this point in time...no wonder why Sato feels they're too good for him.

Komichi's family is truly the best.
