IT WAS THE UNCLE WHO SAID TO VISIT THE SHACK but then next thing we know it was the Aunt... And... It just feels so weird ... If this pays off this would be some good storytelling :D

I think they just wanted to change to an aunt. I don't remember it being a part of the story. I'm remembering there being a note from the author about this, but I could be wrong; it's been a while.

It's been said and repeated by the scanlator : the "uncle" got retconned into an aunt in the volume edition. The chapters with an uncle were from the magazine.

If you want continuity in the representation of the aunt, buy (or find on nyaa) the Yen Press release of the volume 1 of "Monster-colored Island". They didn't use the magazines but the volume.

As for the reason it's an aunt now, ask the author or the editorial department

Finally together again. Although we still have no idea what is actually going on there...

Still confusing as heck, Kon makes an appearance, but is that an illusion from the monster or entity? Or actually Kon? And the other girl is now missing 3 limbs and dissolving(?). This whole thing is just a confusing mess of a story I wish would just end already.
