Haha yeah this chapter's whole element of her willing to just jump headfirst into hell was weird to me. Especially when her succubus GF was upset over the idea damning her soul to hell...it's a very strange feeling with how comfy this series usually is.

When they brought up the contract before I kinda brushed it off as just a fun fact about devils or being there for a sweet moment like this, never something to take really serious. But after this chapter, it feels a little concerning to me. When Lily mentioned, “The power that comes with a contract,” it makes me wonder, “Just what kind of power could they possibly receive?” A half succubus like Lily already has some pretty strong powers, like the time she incapacitated Mai and Runa in Chapter 5. I’m assuming she’d gain abilities like being able to fly, Arousal Eyes like her mom, and much more.

As a half succubus, Lily is already pretty resistant to things (such as colds) that humans are more susceptible to, but I assume only to a certain degree. My concern is, could one of those powers be the ability to resist death? If forming a contract means it’s much harder for a succubus to be injured or even die, it makes me worry about what could happen in the future. I love this cute sweet story so much, so the thought of it taking an angsty route would be surprising, but very interesting. Perhaps something like Mai and Lily getting into an accident, and Mai deciding to form a contract with Lily in order to give her the power to live. The ultimate sacrifice for the one you love. I think that’d be such an amazing, but heart breaking plot twist. That everything that’s happened was all for Lily to learn what it means to be loved. That there are people out there that will love you for you, and that it’s possible for a succubus to find true love.

Just hurt myself with this angst lol. I love them so much and how cute they are so I kinda hope they don’t go down this route, but it’d be interesting to see. Only time will tell.

Just a heads up that the series did end at chapter 20. So any theories or expectations should take that into account. Love this chapter still though.

this manga goes up to 20 chapters, so no time for any plot twist unless the author has lost their mind and decided to do that without any proper plot setup

Lily's father has been shown to have narcissistic traits, so he likely believes he can have a hot devil wife and weasel his way out of any consequences.

Far too many people made that mistake, both in fiction and out of it. Making fool believe that what they get in life is worth the afterlife they'll get is the Devil's whole hat.

• Is a cheaper girls-only actually a thing? At first I thought about priced-on prophylactics, but given then vending machines that seems dubious, and I'd guess females tend to make more of a mess, so is this some security because men mean trouble?

From what I know, some love hotels have joshi kai (girls' party) plans, which are rooms that are basically meant for women to hang out or have dinner in with privacy (as opposed to a public restaurant, etc.), functionally being similar to regular hotel rooms (you can also stay overnight), but apparently fancier-looking and cheaper. These rooms are (probably) not made to have sex in, and I'm guessing they probably have different "amenities" compared to regular love hotel rooms, instead having stuff like karaoke boxes.

The imoni is something that's also quite the mystery to me (and apparently lots of other readers as well). It's not something usual to love hotels and it's only typical of the Tohoku region (the northeast part of Japan), but this story is set in Tokyo, which does not lie in this region. So it seems to be an original joke by the author.
