I would read an entire series of this concept, self-aware characters in a god awful, generic harem manga but two of them are yuri? It's a crime this didn't get more

Sounds like they're shocked to see that new girl was ranked 1st in the character polls, and megumi is overjoyed to see her rank has increased to no 3 as well.
I'd infer that their ecchi gambit paid off and new girl is a lot less likely to be demoted now, not to mention that since the fans liked it, they'll probs continue doing this in the future
This one shot had such an interesting and fun concept, would've loved to see more

I have a great fondness for this one-shot. Kinda wish it was a series. I love the fourth-wall-breaking, the satire of the harem genre that examines how it treats its female characters, and the yuri twist ending.

This is the premise of Because You Dazzled Me. The school basically sponsors a wacky sapphic couples' contest where couples compete against each other for votes on the school's internal social media app. I don't even think there's ever a prize specified, they just do it for clout, lol. It's very silly, but also really cute and sweet. It's only got four chapters uploaded here, but is complete on Mangadex.

God, Jegaysus, or whoever else. It's 2025 can you give me a series, even just a one or two-volume manga please.

Real. I was immediately reminded of that one too. Definitely some great shit, this and that but I'm gay chef kiss, their mere existence humiliated every meaningless het harem love comedy (ha) out there.

Also, can we talk about how terrifying this universe would be to live in? The characters have to act in a certain way, otherwise their entire being would just fade into the background.

That world is definitely some special level of hell. None of them have any kind of individuality, personality or free will, even their selling point appears to be just labels put on them. Definitely one of the worst creations I've read, this comic, or at least it would have been.

It's easy for yurifans to hate Protagonist-kun. But you shouldn't, because all this is not his fault, he was just drawn that way.

To be frank I don't hate that protagonist kun, but I sure as hell hate that author for creating such a bland and boring protagonist in a het "rom-com" harem comic. Gee, at least do better than this shit.
