I didn't think they had sex, it wouldn't have made any sense with the other factors at play. I also think this is probably the kind of story where we'll know if there's sex and it will be very clear about it.

I think people are too used to reading into subtext, but it was certainly not helped by the flashbacks Tamamusi kept presenting. I also figured she'd make it clear if it did happen (to me, it was how Mei only talked of kissing the night prior that made me doubt she had gone all the way--this girl is way too innocent).

With all this talk about sex its interesting that rhe chapter ends with the most innocent of them all, who's sense just so happens to be touch. Could Mei end up eating Riri next chapter

Yeah, it definitely seems to me like the endgame is being set up for Mei picking Maria Sensei. It seems to me like she's going to go through another round with the other girls, but keep coming back to pining after Maria in the end and realize that she's the one that she loves.

Also, as an aside, I noticed upon rereading the issue that we got yet another flashback panel of that night Mei spent with Maria Sensei there at the end where Maria was visibly naked under the bedsheets and presumably looking at Mei in bed with her. I'd thought initially that Maria was wearing a shirt, but it looks like the line I mistook for a collar is more likely to be her collarbone.

Okay, I'm curious and I genuinely do not mean this in a negative way: What do you personally think Mei and Maria were doing together all night long? We've had two flashbacks already of Maria naked in bed with Mei and one of them had them making out with one another while being naked in bed together. That's not speculation, that's stuff that Tamamusi has put into the manga.

The easiest guess is that they went the full nine yards and had sex. Even if they didn't, it's at least clear that they already crossed far too many lines that night as far as Maria's personal worries for Teacher-Student conduct are concerned and that even if they didn't actually have sex, they were at least sexually intimate with one another.

Whether Mei ends up with Maria or not in the end, IDK for sure. I personally tend to read it right now with the assumption that they will, but I'm not ruling out other possibilities.

Yeah, I'm actually a little surprised by how much the chapters after the Beach House trip are cycling through Mei's several suitors all while also repeatedly coming back to Maria-sensei each and every time and how much Mei really wants Maria-sensei in particular. It definitely comes off to me that the series is zeroing in on Maria-sensei as the endgame.

Wasn't that because Mei brought up that it was unfair that Maria was rejecting her now after leading her on that they were gonna bang or be official? So Maria allowed for 1 night/day of breaking that rule to make up for it. It was atoning for a mistake, not because her will was fleaking.

I don't think so. I think literally the entire point of the series is that Mei is a weak willed pushover who falls for whatever pretty girl is in front of her at that particular moment. (points at the title of the manga)

Sensei was just the first person to offer herself exclusively, which had Mei in a tizzy, but she also rug-pulled after the fact, which has Mei twisting, because she can't wait 4 years. Girl can't even go a day without letting somebody seduce her, she's definitely not going to hang around for 4 years of distance unless something fundamentally changes about her personality and worldview. I mean, in real life, a person like this would keep doing what she's doing, falling over herself for everybody that pursues her until somebody gets hurt, at which point she'd step back and reevaluate. I don't know if this series will get that serious, it would be a pretty big tonal shift, but it would make sense. If it doesn't happen, realistically the other girls would just lose interest when they realize she'll submit to anybody that pushes. Well, at least the ones that care about having an exclusive relationship.

From a story structure, most often the long term love interest is the first one you meet, or is somehow singled out from the others. If I were going to guess that anybody was planned to be endgame from the start, it'd probably be the high school friend, because she's set apart from the original 5 in that she isn't associated with a sense, meaning she isn't a token part of the set. She was pining for her before the story started and there's a misunderstanding or miscommunication about her sexual/romantic preferences. But it's also questionable whether she has sexual feelings that she's reflexively rejecting, or if she's in love but sex-averse...There's a lot of unknowns there.

All told, I suspect this whole series is just Tamamusi just using it as an excuse to draw pretty girls kissing and being flirty. I don't know that there's much of a concrete plan at all.

Theoretically yeah, but often harems aren't "true" harems. Instead they tend to end with primary winner and the harem is simply numerous characters aiming for the center character until then. Plus a lot of the audience often cheers for a fave character, and they want a monogamous relationship where their fave is the winner. I think I'm generally on the rare end where I want this to actually be a true harem.

She's such a horndog, but also so innocent at the same time.

I admire Sensei's iron will, it must be disappointing when Mei doesn't take seriously that her job is on the line.

Honestly when it comes to commitment I think Kaoru might the best for Mei. Maria is too indecisive and expects Mei to wait for her to be ready to commit to a relationship, when it was Maria who led Mei on in the first place. Minato seems to like Mei more for the kink and fetish than in a truly romantic way. Karin seems to desire Mei's body and shows no signs that she'll be loyal. Riri would be great but her career might make it hard for her to be with Mei as much as Mei would wish. Kaoru seems like the perfect choice. She seems to genuinely like Mei and doesn't come with any extra baggage. At least as of now.

My imagination really went wild thinking what Mei and sensei could have done until she spilled what really happened there goes an hour of my life
