I'd thought initially that Maria was wearing a shirt, but it looks like the line I mistook for a collar is more likely to be her collarbone.

Okay, I'm curious and I genuinely do not mean this in a negative way: What do you personally think Mei and Maria were doing together all night long? We've had two flashbacks already of Maria naked in bed with Mei and one of them had them making out with one another while being naked in bed together. That's not speculation, that's stuff that Tamamusi has put into the manga.

The easiest guess is that they went the full nine yards and had sex. Even if they didn't, it's at least clear that they already crossed far too many lines that night as far as Maria's personal worries for Teacher-Student conduct are concerned and that even if they didn't actually have sex, they were at least sexually intimate with one another.

Whether Mei ends up with Maria or not in the end, IDK for sure. I personally tend to read it right now with the assumption that they will, but I'm not ruling out other possibilities.

Well this comment didn't age well. I don't want to be mean but it was always really obvious. Mei is someone who wears her heart on her selves. If they had sex she'd be a blushing mess. Plus them having sex would go against Maria's whole point of waiting.

My dream ending! And I'm glad it wasn't just me being delusional (and deeply biased towards Maria x Mei) about the other pairings being hinted at. At any rate, that scenario doesn't seem too unlikely with how things stand right now.

Yeah, I'm actually a little surprised by how much the chapters after the Beach House trip are cycling through Mei's several suitors all while also repeatedly coming back to Maria-sensei each and every time and how much Mei really wants Maria-sensei in particular. It definitely comes off to me that the series is zeroing in on Maria-sensei as the endgame.

We'll see though!

this is a good point and i could definitely see it. the kaoru-minato dynamic in particular has nice potential, tbh. agreed on the development with maria as well; from the beginning i assumed she'd either be endgame or impossible (no in between), and it's looking more like the former as time goes on

IMO it’s always come down to either Maria, Riri or Chiharu as the most likely candidates to win the proverbial MeiBowl. Minato and Kaoru were both really underdeveloped until recently and they’re both being framed as being unlikely to end up with Mei and we all know how things with Karin turned out.

And as the series has gone on, Riri has been really underdeveloped as a romantic interest and we’ve only gotten to see Chiharu with Mei in the present day twice now. Plus the aforementioned recent teases of the other girls all potentially pairing with each other later too. Meanwhile Maria has gotten the most frequent and positive development with Mei.

my ranking at this point is probably like... maria-sensei >>> minato = kaoru >> karin >>> riri. riri's main thing is that she's pure-hearted and has huge boobs, but there's not much else to her (imo). karin is interesting as a character/person, but as a love interest she's kinda out. minato is silly and sweet and absolutely a catch, and i like how genuinely smart and hardworking kaoru is (sexy!). so honestly if it went for either of them i wouldn't mind at all (but minato feels very unlikely to be endgame imo. kaoru remains to be seen).

maria is just sexy as hell. like specifically the gap between her outward persona and her actually being a total dork bottom who's hopelessly down bad. the "i love you so much but i can only watch from afar (please see me)" thing is itself a fav yuri trope of mine. re: whether they fucked or not, they totally did. maria was CLEARLY topless under the blanket in multiple shots and what little we saw was already steamy. this just isn't a porn manga so tamamusi didn't show it explicitly, but the framing is clear lol

At first I thought the flashback panel wasn't Maria naked but rather that the collarbone area was the top of her shirt, but checking back from the previous chapter it's clearly her collarbone, and she doesn't have the straps of her dress showing, so she's gotta be at least topless.

It also looks like Mei was probably naked too, looking at what we're able to see from her right shoulder in the panel.

Maybe this is a way to have them have sex while keeping it just on the suggestive side for a younger audience?

I'd have to assume this is exactly the case.

Again, a few months ago, Tamamusi did official art elsewhere of Mei and Maria naked together in a small bathtub and another one from last year where they're both in wedding dresses together and holding hands.

Also, for what it's worth, the first page of the chapter is a splash page of Sensei naked under the sheets looking at the viewer is the sort of image you'd see for a typical "Morning After" scene.

So signs are pointing to "Yes, Mei and Sensei did actually sleep together."

As for the endgame, we'll have to wait and see, but looking at Tamamusi-sensei's Twitter page, there's at least one more official artwork there of Mei and Sensei naked together and another artwork of them both together in wedding dresses. Granted, that could just be fan service and isn't a smoking gun, but IMO I'd say the most likely MeiBowl winners from the harem are either Sensei or Riri, followed by Mei's old senpai from high school.

My gut is leaning towards Mei ending up with Sensei though, with with the other four harem girls all being paired together (Riri/Karin, Kaoru/Minato) and Mei finally getting a love confession from her senpai, but having to reject her after moving on and falling for Sensei.

I highly doubt they slept together. The biggest indication is the fact that Mei didn't go crazy over about it. She solely mentions them kissing. Her and Maria would put Maria too far ahead of the others. Plus if they did sleep together their would be no point in making that promise, since they would've already crosses that student/teacher line.

They already way crossed that line by kissing, hiding away together for a getaway, sleeping with each other naked, etc. I'm pretty sure they had sex. The distinction is prob that they can't have a full relationship where they're constantly sneaking around. Maria wants something more stable. One time is fine though. Plus Maria is already ahead of the other girls right now because Mei says she loves only her and rejected the thought of other girls in this chapter. So she does "know which one is love," at the moment.

I doubt they had sex. Mei would've made a much bigger deal out of it. There's never a line or a moment where Mei is a blushing mess over having sex with Maria. It would also feel out of place, since at that point there was no big revelation or anything. Mei just pressed on and Maria gave in. I feel like if the author was to introduce sex into the story it wouldn't be in such a throwaway manner. Also didn't really reject the other girls. She mentions not picking Karin because she doesn't want to get hurt. Remember she believes Karin treats everyone the same way and thinks Karin wouldn't be loyal to her ans just keep kissing other women.
