Machino's little monologue about the magic system seemd to mostly be a gag, but "Manifesting an image into reality" is kind of exactly what's going on with the summoning.

My earlier worry is still kinda sitting in the back of my head, namely that we had an entire volume to get to know Sofia but Olivia is already departing after only a couple focus chapters. I guess it can't be helped that Olivia is feeling cucked (how harsh for her to hear Machino mumble Sofia's name in her sleep instead of being relieved for her arrival!) and doesn't wanna stick around though.

i feel like there's a chance that the older sister left machino on read because she might be taking care of one of the other heroines. is that just me? am i crazy for that, i don't know if i'm over-analyzing what i'm seeing here because i want more chapters and am stuck with rereading what we have right now. but if they were close and are still on speaking terms now then it feels a little weird for her to leave her on read and not even text a reason or an apology for her being too busy to talk.

"a couple" is right- olivia has only been here for 2 chapters (plus technically the tail end of the chapter before her introduction proper) compared to sofia's 6. there's also that promise that olivia mentioned in her monologue that was not expanded upon at all. olivia is definitely backing off because she's hurt, but i doubt we're actually dropping her now.

Yay Olivia is back! Thankfully Machino's rizz is still strong. That casual outfit looks so good on Olivia. Can't wait to see how their searching goes

I always thought stories about someone having romantic relationships with video game characters were weird. Like wouldn't players or developers wonder how characters from the game are in the real world? Wouldn't these characters have set personality traits that they will have to follow, since it's in their program? Shouldn't the world have borders, since the developers only programmed but so much of it. It always feels like so many of these stories skip that part to the point where them being video game characters meant nothing.

Given Olivia describes both of them as her weekness this chapter, I can't help but think this is gonna move away from harem territory and into more balanced poly territory

Been a good minute since I read an harem, unless I get too invested in one of the options and start going mental over wanting her to win it's pretty fun to guess who she is gonna choose

Olivia taking crappy minimum-wage jobs cause she's too proud to accept help is really endearing.

This is probably going to sound like a weird pull, but Olivia right now reminds me a lot of Emilia at the beginning of the Devil is a Part-Timer. They both came from a stereotypical fantasy world to modern Japan and managed to pretty much land on their feet - figuring out quickly how the place works and arranging for necessities like jobs and food - but they came alone, and so they're not quite as well off emotionally as our other viewpoint characters, and they're a bit too prideful to admit it.

I always thought stories about someone having romantic relationships with video game characters were weird. Like wouldn't players or developers wonder how characters from the game are in the real world? Wouldn't these characters have set personality traits that they will have to follow, since it's in their program? Shouldn't the world have borders, since the developers only programmed but so much of it. It always feels like so many of these stories skip that part to the point where them being video game characters meant nothing.

Well, since they're in the real world, their "programming" ceases to have an effect since they're now real people, right? So even if they have set personality traits, it's not like they can't evolve and change either.

When written as anything other than a character quirk with no depth to it, it's not a way that a well-adjusted, emotionally healthy person behaves. Ideally, as the tsundere grows more comfortable in their own skin, and understands their emotions, they'll grow out of it and learn to communicate.

When Olivia asked them what they could possibly add to her search, I wanted them both to HUG HER!

Don't know how i didn't consider it until now. Since they live in a world were they're fictional characters, they may end up in a confusing situation like seeing merchandise of themselves or other people who have played the game and talk about them.
