Everytime I see the tag "Introspective", I'm mentally prepare for either not understand, or it's gonna be bittersweet-ish ending.

I need more introspective yuri... I liked this one!

Bittersweet, but beautiful.

This was enjoyable but a bit sad.

Thanks, yeah it's just some wishful thinking on my part. I know it won't happen but I'd love for them to meet after highschool is finished, fall in love again, get a place together, so fourth

Well oof. That's about all I can say.

Filing this one in the "Hurts So Good" drawer. She learned the hard way, that if you cut off a piece of yourself for everyone who asks for one, you'll end up with nothing left of yourself.

Natsume was trying so hard to reach out for her, but she was so afraid of being hated that she missed her chance.

I really don't understand why this has a Romance tag on it. Romances are suppose to be love stories with a happy endings. Not tails of unrequited first love that leaves you feeling sad and a bit bitter.

Through pain she was able to grow and learn more about herself.

I don't know if we can draw any conclusions about Natsume's own feelings on the matter. But she obviously loves Shiori a ton in her own way. I don't think she's the more mature one necessarily in this story--I get the sense she also can take her own share of this pain and learn to grow too.

Maybe a good idea for a sequel about her own experience here, if Amazaki-sensei wished too. I'm plenty happy with this as it is either way.

(On a more serious note, this was such a nice read. I wish I could read this in short story form just to see a bit more of the introspection.)
