I feel that CLAMP at their peak (X) would have nailed this manga so well

what nostalgia, i can see CLAMP doing this type well but they wouldn't have the directness of all this domestic romance. In CLAMP fashion i think they would also employ lots of imagery and philosophy. Not a bad thing but i don't think they'd give us as much romance as this story has now

I was thinking more of their art style, the way the wind is drawn really reminds me of them, I would never want a clamp approach for this story (especially their endings)

So the author posted on their fanbox a few days ago. From what I can tell via machine translation, the commercial series will be cancelled due to poor sales. Last chapter will be ch. 17.

However, it seems like they are planning to continue working on the series. Their editorial department has given them permission to publish new chapters on their fanbox instead. They also mention that they've been considering creating an official english translation of the series, though who knows if that'd get approval after already seeing poor sales with the JP version.

Just read the update. Terrible news but at least she plans to continue the work independently. They even plan to release future volumes, just digitally instead. I'll follow it on her fanbox for sure. The worst thing is the loss of income when these things fall through.

I'm not super surprised (the combo of a soft fantasy style and then a princess eating cookies covered with ants off the ground probably served as a wall for a lot of casuals) but it's still sad news. Hope the author's self publishing goes well for her.

This and Aizawa-san are the two running series I am wholeheartedly invested in. I know I'm only on record here as being very critical of it, but I wouldn't have written an essay if I didn't care. Based on the pattern, I was expecting volume 3 to release soon with chapter 15, and I was preparing my next post on the new material, but now I guess I'll just wait until it ends. The story hasn't even started yet - it cannot be closed - but I do wonder if the author will make an effort to finish it in a way that is at least somewhat reasonable for those who don't want to follow online.

I had enough issues with this version that I'm not surprised about the news; in fact, I was terrified that this will happen since early volume 2, but I hate it. Absolutely hate it. We didn't even manage to get to the point where the actual plot begins. It also retroactively makes me more annoyed at some of the choices: we wasted page time on things that slowed down the progress, but at least they were also bad on their own (lack of) merits, so there was no benefit.

On the plus side, it finally made me register on fanbox. The highest tier is not even three euros a month. I know nothing about the author's background, but I sincerely hope the loss of the publication won't affect them severely and they will find enough support to be able to continue their work.
