I thought there was a word joke in there somewhere, so I looked up the original Japanese version. Looks like the "transcendent beauty" thing appears nowhere in the original. Instead, the chapter is called "miyu (みゆ)", and the word "miyu" appears when she gets her face squished. That's.... cute, I guess?

I was about to say exactly the same thing, though more about this last one than the Kaoru/Mask one, just because I'm not super into that pairing personally. But even then, at least those two had an interaction at the end, AND that was just a short- this chapter (a full chapter evidently) especially, I don't think they even talked to each other, lol.

I'm not usually one to criticize the writer or anything, and I'm still not really, but it IS a bit frustrating to see my favorite pairing in the tags and then just get like...imagine spots and no actual relationship progression or even real interaction.
