Isn't yandare a person who believes that the person they like belongs to them and only them even if they aren't dating the person? And this belief will cause the yandere person to cause harm either towards themselves, others, or the person of interest?

Mayu-mayu doesn't seem like a yandere, they really both just do seem like an idiot couple.

She's not a yandere, she's a landmine ('jirai onna'). There's some overlap, but it's the landmine-ness that's really being emphasized here

I mean, does it being presented in a light hearted matter make it any less of an unhealthy relationship? I enjoy some yandere stuff and still acknowledge that it's not healthy.

Even if it's not textbook yandere, I would have appreciated some type of warning in the tags rather than expecting happy good funnies like the idiot couple suggested and feeling creeped out.

I mean, we have a girl here who is properly terrified of her knife-wielding girlfriend and who, to remove any doubt that she has reason to, has been proven to have been punished before for merely using her name instead of nickname. Pretty sure yandere applies without much need to question this.

I think this is just japanese comedy where they like to exaggerate thing like this relationship and make it seems riduculous.
