FIRST...I have just finished reading 39. This is a great chapter. All I can say is...wow. Show never disappoints when it comes to plots. He seldom if ever drag things out.

I want to bring a point for the last couple of chapters. that is, Al-Kamil's two manservants. These two guys, one has black hair, while the other white/blonde. They do not just have THAT hair designs, but also facial features and emotions conforms to the type of villains that Show reserves for those who are extremely wicked and evil. But of course, they will never reach Al-Kamil's level of evil. Al-Kamil probably hand picked them as her closest, most evil, and strongest guards. They are trusted enough by their mistress that they freely speak their minds, even with sarcasm. They are also there to clean up any "crime" scene or mess after their mistress is done with what she did.

If you read enough of the mangaka's works, especially Lolicon, you will notice that he RESERVES these characters designs for really really horrifying bad persons. Hence you will automatically realize that when these two showed up, there is nothing but really really bad news. For example, the same type of character designs in Implicity is used for the child rapists, including the head of the pedophile ring. So when you see that type of character designs, pay attention.

As for 39, Ichika finally abandons her own moral values since she has no choice but to protect the seriously injured Aria and Sakuya. When the chapter ends, Ichika finally breaks down because she feels like she finally kills a HUMAN
it is probably one of the easiest chapter that I have ever read in this manga, yet this is probably the best chapter that I have ever read too.
No, I am not going to give you any web location of any (illegal) scans. I never read the RAW scans. A translation on the other hand, the actual now fan-translated second language belongs to the translator in copyright laws. Of course when you scanlate, you are in for a complex case, since the text belongs to the translator, but the drawing belongs to the artist. Now, if you have to draw something to cover things up, including changing the size of some bubbles, it is yours then. This is a complicated thing. So please keep that in mind. Of course your country may have different laws.

I purchase RAW, English, German, and Italian versions. I sometimes look at the Chinese translation or French one. I do not read Spanish ones unless I must if there is a translation conflict. The last three are scanlations, and in fact, I forgot their web locations.
So if you read the RAW, enjoy, If you want to wait for any type of translation, be patient.

Oof she killed her first person er not a person but yeah... What a rough episode didn't expect us to go right into this war figured we had another lul before everything kicked off. Now that it shows the series can be all sad and depressing the ending worries me. I hope Aria just gets to turn her so they can be happy together but now that the sword has been used I expect it to used quite a bit now.

While overall the series itself is fine, I personally find the tonal transitions from "fluffy yuri romance with a sinister undertone" to action manga against a series of Big Bads to be rather jarring. I'm mostly just waiting for the obligatory fight scenes to be over.

Jeeeez, this is a hard chapter to read. It's just unglamorously violent and traumatic. The kind of thing that makes my stomach turn. I think it's a good approach to show how terrible a life like theirs could be.

She now only has three Lilus left who are important enough to slay: Bodyguard in Black, the occultist, and Al-Kamil. Good job for killing that white bodyguard. Actually if you recall, Al-kamil wanted to use Ichika as a bait, so she discussed the plot with the occultist and the bodyguard in black, in her own room. The same room where a naked dead woman is hung upside down, as if it is a BBQ food.
