I don't see any scenario where he would have his place in a potential love triangle with these two. Mitsuki isn't looking for new friends and Oosawa barely even registers jerkface's existence. He a talking potted plant to them, at best. He's ''there'' .

Seriously! A while back, there was a poster who was using feminist theory to augment their extensive argument on gender presentation in this manga, and I was thoroughly impressed. Not what I was expecting at all.

I think you guys are approaching this from a western, super familiar with them approach. If you hadn't grown up with buttrock radio stations and dads playing them, you wouldn't have that sort of association with the band.
