I'm honestly tearing up, Sal Jiang gave her all for this one

I checked when this was from and yeah... yeah 2013 is about right. :(

I absolutely adore Sal Jiang’s work. She portrays women with so much care and depth. And I’m not assuming anything about her sexuality when I say this, I mean that she clearly loves women in the way she draws and writes them.

Her art doesn’t center on just one “type” of female. You see women of different races, body types, personalities, and ages throughout her work, and that’s something I deeply appreciate.

I also suspect Sal has at least some classical figure drawing experience and a lot of real world observation, as in my experience the artists I see who have the best and broadest character type roster just really love watching and drawing people. Or in this case, women ;)

That Subtext tag is stressing me out, but looks fun!

For me a true Idiot Couple always remains subtext ;)

Oh, I really like the art style! The way the eyes are stylized especially really captured my attention, which I guess is important for a manga that looks like gaze is going to be important and with so many eye shots. And I get the breasts are ridiculous but Lulu's design is so over the top with details and ruffles and flowing things that it doesn't feel unbalanced on her to me. She's like a wedding cake of a woman

I kept hoping that the Dad crush thing was just Hiro's interpretation but damn it's pretty blatant these chapters, isn't it? Poor kid.

I love how the artist showed Toriko's body language in this chapter during and after the kiss, the way she keeps a hand on Sorawo's hip, her tender clinginess, you know if she could she'd always be touching Sorawo

I admit I misread the tag at first but it really IS quite accurate

I thought from the start this story felt like something that would make a good anime, the right mix of cute girls and violence and sorrow and sweet. The trailer did NOT disappoint

I forgot how this arc started so when there was suddenly tits out sex I quickly had to close out because I was stupidly reading in public expecting, I don't know, a find the drummer plot whoops
