That means we had a poly-suggesting page in every second chapter before it became obvious it was going to go full on sayo (ch 10).

How many of this was interpreted as such BEFORE the poly chapter ? Almost none. You see as suggested AFTER the chapter. If it was really suggested, you would have pick up the hints before the poly chapter happen. Seeing this as poly hints is just people wanting a poly ending after seeing the poly chapter and squeezing every little hints they can, no matter how bad they are.

If a story that has X chapters has a whole chapter dedicated to poly relationship in an older person with similar circumstances, the most common story structure does indeed imply the same thing will happen again.

Yeah and there was a whole chapter dedicated to aromantic, power balance. Why are they less likely to be the ending than Poly ? See that's my problem, there was multiples forms of love, yet peoples just focused on the Poly one.

The story did not end after the original confesion from Sayo, so people expected something new to happen

A lot of stories didn't end after the confession, doesn't mean they bring another route on the menu.

Like i thought, those are rather weak arguments for Poly and can be easily interpreted differently.

One of the most beautiful yuri I've ever seen, though I honestly hoped they'd show us Rinna with another girl. Although it is possible they end up in a relationship similar to that of the teachers. Definitely one of the best treesome yuri I've seen, I wish more yuris or handled in this way. any treesome recommendations similar to MoshiKoi???

Really it seems weird that the author would drop so many hints at a polygamist ending, only to wind up having her pick one in the end. I can’t help but wonder if the publisher decided to pull the plug on this one, and the author got worried they wouldn’t have enough time to bring Rinna into the relationship, so they just went with the generic end.

Yeah, the poly hint dropped multiple times that this ending felt really out of place especially how the author decided to do time skip likely because it was axed by the publisher lmao.

Certainly feels like this, yeah. I mean, people can say what they want, but I've never seen as many people here express that they expected a poly ending as for this series, not even for series that actually got one. This clearly shows that there were enough hints towards such ending here for so many of us to pick up on them.

It's funny that "An easy intro to love triangle" would have been better with a mono ending with Rin and Mayuki rather the 3some, and that this one would have been better the 3some rather the mono route lol Even the drama thing in luminous blue its ending was ok not expected but ok since it was a win win. Welp this sucked. Seriously. I really liked this work at first but went downhill at the speed of light. Glad it's over, unless we got a extra chapter that will surely be equally irrelevant and unsatisfactory.

My greatest issue with the way the plot panned out is not the lack of a threeway ending, although that was my preferred route, but the way it was handled and how practically every other potential thread of a plotline was dropped for the sake of the current ending, and how there were so many loose ends that were plainly unsatisfactory either due to their halfhearted resolution or to the complete absence of one. Most glaringly is Rinna, they didn't even show her whole face on the final page, where the fuck did that come from?

I'm very much inclined to believe that this is the work of an axe, a chainsaw, even, a chainsaw firing machine gun, even, and operating under this assumption I can somewhat let things slide, but the series should have, could have, and very much needed to have gone on for longer, there are no two ways about that. There was a lot to develop, explore, and dive into, most importantly to me would've been potential developments in the dynamic between Rinna and Sayo, which was well over the stage of a mere idea already.

Now, having blown some steam and despite the above negativity, I can definitely say that ending and resolution aside, this has been a wonderful read. Very wholesome and heartwarming, with very endearing characters and great dynamics among and between them, and terrific art style. I enjoyed it a lot for the substantially greater part of its runtime, and this cannot be taken away despite the bitter taste left in the end.

No poly ending? True cowardice

Underwhelming end to a largely underwhelming manga. The gimmick was an okay idea but afterwards it waffled about a bit and that was that then. Not exactly memorable or particularly interesting aside from 1 or 2 moments.

It was cute but a bit underwhelming. It's not the time skip or the ending for me. I just don't feel like I really got to know the main trio, even after 3 volumes.

I'm actually surprised she really did just stay a friend. Really thought they'd go Harem route. Regardless still 11/10.

In my opinion, for a poly relationship to truly work, all the parties involved have to love each other. That wasn't the case in this manga so I never saw a poly ending as an option. If the manga went there, it would have felt forced to me.

Thank you. I don't like how so many of the readers were trying to force these characters into a relationship none of them wanted to be in. They are the equivalent to when a person picks one girl instead of a harem, even though none of the girls want to be in a harem. It's kind of insulting to the characters tbh

IMO the story had been presenting Sayo and Rinna on such an equal footing (down to their position on the volume covers!) that there was no way to make the choice between them not feel arbitrary.

Man, I was really charmed by this manga and I'm glad I got to read it but I can't help but feel it was way undercooked. There's so much that feels like it was dropped or underdeveloped and the last chapter was very sweet but didn't feel earned. It's like you get halfway through a book and find out the rest of the pages until the conclusion have been torn out. I really wanted more about Mei coming to understand and accept Rinna's love at first sight but it wound up feeling like Rinna didn't get taken seriously by the story.

As far as the poly stuff goes I feel let down like a lot of people here. Even if it didn't go for the poly end it really seemed like it was introducing these ideas to create wrinkles in the love triangle that never happen, particularly with the actual poly couple and the accidental kiss. I would have loved for them to consider the idea and over time find out whether or not it works for them. Even if not it would've been an interesting exploration of love and it feels like this manga split the difference between Mei learning about different types of love and Mei's relationships with Sayo and Rinna without making either part feel particularly complete. I liked it but it really needed another volume or two I guess. Loooooove the art though.

There's a big difference between showing a poly relationship and the characters wanting one. No matter what anyone says these characters never once wanted a poly relationship. It's pretty selfish to be agree that the characters didn't bend to your wishes on how their relationship should go.

I think what's made people particularly frustrated here is that it's a love triangle between three people who care about and support each other, it directly brings up polyamory in the story, and doesn't even give them the opportunity to say no.

Aww man, when they showed the teacher relationships, i though they were hinting to an ending like that, i would had love for another arc dedicated to the Rinna finding her other half but it seems they just axed the manga, still it was a good read with really cute art, thanks for the translations.

The poly chapter was so bad, the author had to quickly retcon all the threesome setup and then get axed the very next chapter lol
