Following the last few chapters of this has been me grasping at thin hopes, and the depression sinking in little by little.
that being said, I respect the author's and Mei's decision.

High key, someone please write a yuri work that delves into a poly relationship AFTER the couple has been formed.
I am on my hands and knees here.
Hopefully someday.

Sadly it was the last chapter. After graduating they went different path, there is some time skip(Maybe 5 yrs) and seems that Mei and Sayo haven't meet Rinna since the graduation. Rinna is just the best friend for them. At least I wanted to see if Rinna found someone but not even that But yea would be great if the author draw an "If" but they already said that was the last chapter so F. But seems that mikami likes working in this kind of manga where you have to choose one cause she is working on another manga and light novel where MC have to choose one out of 4 girls.

They should've made Rinna hold a kitchen knife during the last page. I would kill to read the School Days sequel of this.

Well, that ending was botched.

Really it seems weird that the author would drop so many hints at a polygamist ending, only to wind up having her pick one in the end. I can’t help but wonder if the publisher decided to pull the plug on this one, and the author got worried they wouldn’t have enough time to bring Rinna into the relationship, so they just went with the generic end.

Even if that was the case, though, can’t say it makes these last chapters any better. They just felt so rushed to me. Like, nothing felt like it really flowed together, and it seemed like the story was just hitting the usual notes. Can’t say I’ll be giving this one a reread any time soon.

This manga has absolutely beautiful art. And the ending was truly sweet and a treat to the eyes but hotdamn that was a shitty lil story lmaooo. Fuck it gets with the childhood friend (in an obvious route), just to timeskip to the end of high school thus ending it all gtfo

Honestly it feels like the author just didn't have the guts to go for the poly finish, so they ended with an ambiguous suggestion that the throuple might still happen someday. She's still single, they're still in contact, it's just waiting for somebody to go "Hey, why don't we...."

I mean, I genuinely am not usually a poly stan. Nothing against the lifestyle, It's not my preference but it's interesting to see stories like that from time to time, but fact is most of the time when people are clamoring for a poly ending, it's in a series that was always pretty clearly about a choice between rivals. But this series really does feel like the author was trying to go there, they wanted to go there, and they chickened out at the end. Maybe the editor put pressure on them, or maybe a reader poll got them to cave, or maybe I'm just totally misreading their intent, but that's the impression I get.

  1. Timeskip
  2. Friendzone
  3. Offscreen confessions
  4. No Poly
  5. Not even a complete dramatic turn

My disappointment is immeasurable, and my day is ruine

I honestly love this manga and rooted for Sayo but this is not a good way to end. I hate timeskips

Yeah, the poly hint dropped multiple times that this ending felt really out of place especially how the author decided to do time skip likely because it was axed by the publisher lmao.
Although the wasn't t amazing, the author just keeps pushing side characters as part of the protagonist's power to "See love thing" and how clueless protagonist was throughout the whole story. Which leaves us nothing but disappointment due we haven't seen enough development for the main characters

The only nice thing about the ending was the childhood friend getting with the MC. But seriously, the last 3 chapters were terrible.

I'm not even a huge fan of poly, but in this case I really feel like dropping it was a failure of nerve and didn't work well at all.

Rinna took one of the fastest L’s I’ve ever seen.

The Mangaka tried to salvage it, but it’s really hard to read the last few chapters and not feel like the creator was told to wrap this series up pretty suddenly.

Still an enjoyable series though, and seeing them all older was cute

Poly discussion aside there's no way this wasn't given the axe and author rushed the end. The handling of Rinna is also just plain weird.

Yeah, I think the axe is pretty clear in this one, there’s no other reason for why spend so much time and pages setting something that doesn’t go off, unless you don’t have the time to do so.

Overall, it’s nowhere as good as it could be, but was still somewhat enjoyable. I would give it a 7/10.

The childhood friend actually won.

In my opinion, for a poly relationship to truly work, all the parties involved have to love each other. That wasn't the case in this manga so I never saw a poly ending as an option. If the manga went there, it would have felt forced to me.

Glad rinna lost. Now I can really give the series a chance.

but they were building up to that. There was the whole kiss between the love-interests, as well as them taking care of each other...

I really enjoyed this series at the start but it feels like it really lost the plot. Introduced a lot of things just to try and quickly wrap it up in the last 3 chapters with something incredibly normal.

I really liked this series. Honestly, I could've gone for some Akane x Rinna, and I feel like Rinna wasn't built with a chance in mind.

WOW so Rinna just gets unapologetically friend zoned and ends up alone? WTF AUTHOR!? Weak ass rushed ending, did this series get the axe or something? Feels like the author straight up tried to take back the fact that this series was a competition between Rinna and Sayu at the end and basically retconned that Rinna was in love with the main character because “she gives it her all when it comes to love” and loves everyone. That is such BS. This ending was so damn rushed and unsatisfying and has amazingly gone from one of my favourite recent Yuri mangas to one of my biggest disappointments. It’s going to feel real bad taking this series of my favourites list. God dammit author…

There are plenty V's in poly relationship. Where one person has a relationship with two other people (with everyone's consent of course) I myself am in one such relationship. I have my wife, and I have my "mate". My wife 100% supports me whenever my mate can come visit, and she gives us time to ourselves. My wife and mate care deeply about each other, and even love each other, but not in "that way". I could absolutely see that be a thing with these 3 as well, as there was a lot of mutual love and respect for all parties involved, even if not all connections were romantic ones.

Man the evidence is all there for this having been axed. Guess we’ll have to wait and see if there’ll be an author’s note or not. Really seemed like the set up for poly was there. Maybe it just didn’t get the reception the author was hoping for from readers.

I’m glad Sayo got her love reciprocated but Rinna got shafted. Basically a retcon of her character to justify her not being involved and an erasure of her activities over the course of the manga.
