I wish I'm mistaken but after this first chapter it feels like they add the yuri at the last minute.

Are you saying that you want the first chapter to be paced differently?

I think its a fine order: introduce that she is jobless and broke to explains why our normal everyday Young woman ended Up taking such a shady-ish non standard job offer. Then gradually reveal what This shady-ish job actually is. Then give us some hints at what she is gonna encounter at her new office.

This seems really cute. XD I love the mc and the setup so far.

Also tfw you totally wanna bail but a pretty lady walks in the room and your good sense jumps right out your ears.

Errr the translation is a bit off, Tachibana Sayu is their top worker at the brothel, she got the top customer rate, not top customer

This feels important to note lol

Ah. I was thinking "Good lord, that girl must be rich and horny if she's single-handedly keeping a company with 40-60 prostitutes in business".

I casually knew a neighbor who was a graphic artist for a company that made male-homosexual pornographic films. He was homosexual himself, and said that he'd been accurately warned that he'd be groped.

Woah... I see... kinda scary; curious as to whether he was ok with that??

While the tags concerned me, I find this to be a cute and funny story so far. Hopefully it will progress with more yuri! :)

I was thinking the same thing. I came here specifically to ask what the fudge was the deal with this woman who needs to fuck 40-60 prostitutes a day to feel satisfied. Like, are there enough hours in a day for that???

I should have guessed it was their top employee, not their top customer.

Another manga about prostitution. Like many of us, the first chapter did not hook me. Unless I'm mistaken, they didn't talk about gay prostitution. The girls in this agency are either bi or straight. I think the top girl is at least bi or there would be no yuri.
I think the old man is either her personal manager, a family member or he is grooming her to take the company. I don't think there will be any explicit yuri. It will juste be two women who get along together but no love.

Yeah this is not exactly gay prostitution.

But I think the setting makes it even more realistic, or at least original and interesting. MC would be a "background character" in other manga or even in real life for many people. Landing a random/niche job like that and finding someone to crush on there? Even better if that's her first love. Like what are the odds? How often do you hear such a story?

The manga didn't specify that this was a gay brothel or anything, either. Phrases like "fashion-health" are used for sex work in general.

Exactly. It's a conventional brothel, catering to men, and Sayu spends most of her working hours in the arms of male customers.

All those who feel their yuri is tainted as soon as a girl is contaminated by the touch of a dick, jump ship now.

When you so gay that you keep a job you're not fond of and absolutely clueless about because of a pretty girl

B-but posting passive-aggressive complaints about "How is this yuri?" or "Why is this on Dynasty?" after every new chapter is so much more enjoyable! /s

OK, just no. Those last 2 rules are breaking so many workers laws & ethics violations that I question how they're still in business. For starters only paying in cash allows them to easily commit fraud & tax violations, if I'd have heard this alone I'd jump ship & report it.

Then these idiots are audacious enough to CHARGE their EMPLOYEES for being late. That's ridiculous on so many levels and if this practice is actually common in Japan then it's no wonder their economy is in the toilet.

Idgaf if the girls are working in a straight brothel and fucking dudes, but so far I haven't seen any hint of yuri happening

This look into the sex industry is really interesting, but yeah after all that....no wonder why they don't want her to quit lmao. There's red flags everywhere

yeah, im honestly starting to doubt if this is an actual yuri series or whether maybe the yuri was tacked on to piggyback the 'lesbian brothels/gay for pay' wave on the rise.

im not sure how to feel about this one. While the likely love interest (if actually a yuri series) working in a normal brothel is not a deal breaker, it's not a positive for a yuri series either IMO.

If this was a story without yuri, i think it could be less... unsure feeling.

Wow I was expecting some yuri two chapters in. But so far... this is making me pretty angry. I work a pretty demanding job and this manga is starting to hit pretty close to home. I think ill wait on this before I try reading it again.

I don't think paying employees in cash is illegal even in the US, and Japan is more cash-oriented (like I've heard of rent being paid in cash), and this is probably a very high cashflow business for obvious reasons. Not to say it isn't sketchy.

Fining for being late is also a thing that can happen in the US, though again, very shitty. https://duckduckgo.com/?t=ffsb&q=employee+fined+for+being+late&ia=web

I was originally interested if there would be yuri or not... but now I am more interested on the brutal work environment Japan has. I see this is considered too much even for their standards, but the fact it "works" may mean is not too far from the real deal.

Well that doesn't seem great. For frame of reference I don't live in the US, I live in Australia, where fining your employees is liable to get you dragged to court.

That's all a moot point though as I'm 90% sure the shell company they have setup is actually for tax dodging & underpaying employees as opposed to actually protecting their girls. This company concerns me on so many levels.

From a Doylian perspective though if the author decides to delve into these practices and their consequences I think that'd be a strange yet interesting take on this series. I'm almost entirely following this to see if the underlying business & it's practices ends up being revealed/investigated. It'd actually be a really interesting conflict for our protagonist, turn a blind eye or report her employers.

Hasn't sex work been associated with organised crime for decades? I wouldn't be surprised if that representative is part of a "family". That type of place would use rules that a normal workplace wouldn't, so it wasn't that shocking to me.

Also, they pay in cash probably because they're paid in cash. Don't really expect clients to go and pay for sexual acts with their credit cards.

Would there be tax evasion? Abosu-fucking-lutely, but if they pay their employees fair wages and proper overtime then I don't see an issue. If I was in that situation, I'd declare only the standard hours I worked, all overtime never seemed to happen (that's only based on if they treated their employees like humans, which seems iffy at the moment).
