I liked this a lot, I kinda want a sequel to see more of their relationship. I find it interesting that Meng never even asked for Wang’s real name, or that Wang never offered it to her.

Wow this was pretty great. I didn't realize it took place in China/Taiwan until halfway through. I really want to see this progress, but it ending here is perfect

I really liked the pacing and how it was written. While I was reading, I was so absorbed in the characters reality, which is weird 'cus introspective stuff always bores me to death. I somehow can relate with both characters: the cynical OL and the frustrated writer.

Yeah, I agree! We don’t want another “Stretch”! This is a good one shot.

This was a nice read and I wasn't expecting it to go in that direction but I'm glad it did

Girl, don't ever leave the office without at least signing off the computer.

I have no idea living in Taiwan's city can be that stressful, holy moly

It actually takes place in the mainland China city, Chengdu.
The author posted it on the Chinese social media Weibo and the tower on page 47 is Tianfu Panda Tower.

High practical intelligence -> disdain for "dumb people" -> alienation from humanity -> lack of direction and passion.

Mood.

This was all over the place, but in a good way. No Yuri (in fact it didn't even mention romance with either gender), but it was still very interesting.

Girl, don't ever leave the office without at least signing off the computer.

my thoughts exactly :/ it's things like this that always take me out of the immersion, like the first thing you get told/taught working in an office is to log and turn off you computers at the end for multiple reasons...electricity bills, security (especially in case of break-ins)

nobody just gets up and leaves for home just leaving their computer just the way it is, especially not in the middle of an (important) file/email being transfered....it's really just a very trope-y plot device because authors don't want their characters to be the ones to actually fuck up working, but have others mess up their work for them :/

that said the story in total was just kinda...okay? It was n't bad but it also wasn't some super deep soul searching that was done here...but maybe I'm just jaded like that...
