How does anyone, regardless of gender or sexuality, make it through a 2 hour porno?

If you watch all of a two hour porn in one shot, you're doing it wrong.

I don't even need to read the latest comments to know it's going to be a slugfest.

It's how a het person imagines lesbians/gay people to be: that what drives their whole life is sex.

The cute art is wasted on this series.

So a gay person can't be sexual nowadays because it comforts to stereotypes? We really did go full circle

Didn't take even 10 days. She's already lost, now it's just about getting her to admit it.

There are tons of other manga out there that don't rely only on horniness toward the same sex to assert someone's orientation, like, for a recent example, "I favor the villainess". Here, it seems to be the only criteria.

I see why folks call this problematic and all that, I completely understand. But when it comes to my Yuri, the more fucked the premise the better.

Tbh compared to a lot of other Yuri I’ve read this doesn’t seem particularly problematic or messed up. The concepts are questionable and so is the execution, but the outcome is pretty cute. I think that last bit puts a nice bow on it for me.

This is "but I'm straight" "so is spaghetti, until it gets wet" the manga.

Don't you love it when you visit your fake girlfriend and she shows her porn collection

The censorship just makes me respect this even less. Like I'm pretty contemptuous of whatever attitude decided that the subject matter was perfectly acceptable but boobs are a bridge too far. It's fetish porn that doesn't even have enough self respect to be porn.

Like you said, there's already a tons that don't rely on horniness, so it's why can't this be? That comment, if I'm not mistaken, trying to say if you keep avoiding a stereotype, then it will become a stereotype.
Years ago, yuri mangas are bound to needlessly dramas (still a large part even now), after that the bisexual cheating (because reAuLisTic).
Compared to those, I rather read manga about raging lesbians any day.

Not sure why everyone is hating on this. There's room for lots of stories in queer media and allowing for ridiculous situations such as this is a part of it.

Not being down on anyone for their reactions—they are what they are—but, yeah, some stories are obviously intended to reflect social reality to some degree, and others, like this one, are like patchwork trope machines, where the author assembles mismatched sets of pre-fab narrative components and sets them running to see what crazy things will happen. (That “Lots of Tsundere Twintails” story—which seems to be gone from Dynasty—would be one example of the latter.)

(I used to do something similar with chemistry sets when I was a kid—I’d perform the first couple of experiments like the instructions said, then start mixing things together to see if anything would explode.)

I'd cut this a lot more slack if it was a better example of what it is. Like there's a version of this concept that wouldn't just kind of annoy me and it's probably a version that isn't so eager to get to the smut it throws pacing to the wayside while simultaneously censoring all the smut.

This seems real predatory to me as a lesbian myself,,, so I feel like im gonna drop it esp after reading a bit thru this third chapter. I wish we had more stories that seemed made by us yk? It doesn't have ro be non-sexual because to some of us it can be an important aspect of the relationship. But whatever this is just aint it for me.

Putting aside the fact the story actually explores and develops Aya's character in a surprisingly effective way for what initially seems like cheap smut, and it also has some really good insight about lesbianism in later chapters, you're completely ignoring the way the scenario is set-up.

Aya going for the sexual approach from the get-go is precisely because Marika wanted to do compensated dating from the start and she is so prejudiced that she would rather be molested than act lovey-dovey with Aya.

So wait...do we actually know if this series is made by an LGBT person or not? Or is that simply an assumption. Correct if I'm wrong, but Mangaka especially aren't typically open about their own gender and sexual orientation. Plus I've seen so many different opinions over the years from so many different people on what counts as a "good lesbian manga", often opinions that clash with each other because everyone is different and has different opinions even if they share the same sexual orientation. There's no 1 definitive take in any sexual orientation. So I think you'll get hetero, lesbian, bisexual, and so fourth people that enjoy this manga, and you'll get ones that also don't.

Consent is a thing that seems to be happily ignored here.

Anyway, I can sympathize with neither Aya or Marika. One is very weak willed and the other is predatory. I know that it will eventually work out, because it's the premise of this LN/manga, but from the start it strikes me as toxic.

I feel like I get this perspective, but I also get the perspective of people saying the relationship is between a girl that's been in the closet since the start, and a girl that knows it and is using this to tease her. So this entire series is going to be back and fourth between people like yourself, who strongly think this relationship is horribly toxic, and people that think this relationship isn't as toxic as the other side thinks it is and just thinks this manga is a light hearted smutty rom-com. Neither side will budge, and both sides will just continue to argue because they think their perspective is the right one.

Personally I'm just sitting here in the middle.
