The logic for the premise is..... Uh... interesting
Haha when I bought bread for the first time in Japan it made me have an AHA! moment over why anime girls can just run out and have one slice of bread for breakfast, because those bread slices were THICK
That said, you still want to use actually good bread and I doubt anything that comes already sliced is going to be worth your time, regardless of the thickness.
Like I said, it's basically Wonderbread. Bland white from the 7/11. Among the cheapest calories I saw in Japan, 1000 calories per dollar.
Better to just buy a whole loaf of good bread and slice it yourself.
I didn't see any bread I was inclined to call good. Apart from the croissants.
I don't have the raw so I can't say for certain, but I'm pretty sure the editor named "Kitabebbu" is supposed to be "Kitabeppu", a normal family name. I've never seen the former name in my life and it sounds very, very strange.
I hope this doesn't deter the author from Crescent Moon and Doughnuts.
Since she's serialized, she doesn't really control her own schedule. Luckily, they both run concurrently in Yuri Hime, so there shouldn't be a problem with inconsistent releases.
