While I don't ship these two, I can't deny their dynamic is very intriguing. Can't wait to learn more about Siracusa and the current "Queen" of them.

For this piece itself, the last panels are quite interesting, besides the obvious blood, there is also the chunk of crystals covering way more of Lappy's face, indicating that this wasn't just in a close future, but also the fight itself was a sort pf farewell/mercy kill from Texas to Lappland.

That title sucks. I wasn't prepared for this angst.

The most haunting aspect has to be how Lappland happily, even lovingly declares that this is what's fitting. Over and over. And the final look in Texas's eyes is so hollow.

Additional context: the two of them grew up together in mafia families and used to go hunt members of rival families. Texas's family was eventually wiped out completely and it's implied Lappland had something to do with it. The "old texas" is the Texas she knew back then.

"Texas" is not her real name, just a codename
and the "Texas" is probably not named after the US state, but rather the extinct Texas wolf, possibly a reference to her lore too.
